THIS IS IT!!!!!

This is the 10km Fun Run day!

We woke up tired since we slept late the night before this event... Want to know why?
(See post: STORY BEHIND 10KM RUN)😂

Anyways, can you guess how many hours of sleep we got? 😆

We slept around 1am-ish and got up around 4am-ish to 5.

Yes, an estimated 3 hours sleep is not really enough but we have to get up as early as 4am-5am to start and end early.

Before we set ourselves out from Jessa's house and begin the Fun Run, we drank Milo and ate Skyflakes biscuit first; so that, we will neither leave home with an empty stomach nor feel hungry and dizzy amidst fun run.

Our starting point is at Jessa's Place from Dumlog Talisay, Cebu. We did our pre stretching inside their living room.

(Note: Pre Stretching is important before jogging since it increases the blood circulation to the muscles and joints. This also lessens the muscle cramps after jogging)

We took a groufie when we arrived at our first stop. We had our first water break across the Gaisano Mall. We were not really running or jogging fast since Lakwatserang Nins has health issue (she tends to get tired easily and have difficulty in breathing).

We ran near Lantaw Restaurant and Talisay Port so we took a picture again...

We had our next water break on the SRP Seaside. We ascended on the Seaside Platforms and took pictures. The day is still so young and the view looks astonishing.

Just staying a few minutes in that area and appreciating the nature's view, it suddenly rained. We had nowhere to go which has a reliable roof so we would not be caught up by the rain, until we saw an old and slanted waiting shed. The @thegoodbi ladies and Lakwatseras managed to fit themselves in the old rusty small waiting shed. We waited there until the rain stops falling. It was really struggling but a fun experience.

We spent most of our time at IL Corso. IL Corso is a mall located at South Road Properties. The mall is located at seaside. It has a few good fine dining restaurants in the place.

They have a somewhat like Sugbo Mercado (Food Stalls) outside the mall. If you are hungry and does not want to go inside the mall, you can just buy food from the food stalls outside. Their food are delicious and affordable. But of course, we are Lakwatseras and Tihik (financially economical), we did not buy any.

The Lakwatseras finished 2 laps at IL Corso while the @thegoodbi just took a lot of pictures for the blog documentation. Hahaha 😂

It is nice to see that there are different people doing their morning jog routine at IL Corso. The newest CCLEX ( Cebu- Cordova Link Expressway) Bridge is very visible from IL Corso as well.

At the place, there was a mini bridge and a small boat beside it. It is already like an attraction at the seaside in front of IL Corso. We took a lot of quite good pictures in the place.

(⚠️𝘞𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨Please do not go near the seaside floors which is the darker part of the picture because, it is so slippery! Rich almost slipped on that part❗)

Meanwhile, we decided to jog forward to SM Seaside Cebu to complete the 10 km. On our way there, we were already so hungry. Thank God we saw "Kuya" Vendor selling "Taho/ Sweetened Soya Milk" on the street side. He was our savior that time! The Taho he sells is still warm. It was so perfect for our hungry stomach. Taho is also one of the favorite Filipino street snack of the Lakwatseras. You should try it guys! 😊

The two laps jog of Lakwatseras was not enough to reach the 10km goal. So, the squad decided to continue jogging to SM Seaside - Cebu Ocean Park. We were already so tired, thirsty and exhausted. We almost could not feel our legs that time.

When we arrived at Cebu Ocean Park, we continued one of our tiktok entries. The Tiktok transition was from the other night sleepover then change to the current goal 10km fun run. It is amazing how we finished our one last Tiktok entry at Cebu Ocean Park.

Where did all those energy come from? 😆

After we were done with the 10km goal, we initially thought that what if we will jog again going back to Jessa's place. hahaha

But that was just a "What If!" We could not take another step anymore due to tiredness and exhaustion. We rode a taxi/cab upon going back to Jessa's house.

The sweat and exhaustion felt good knowing that we burnt a lot of calories on our 10 km fun run. We thought that it is all worth it because aside from achieving healthy body; we will also be receiving a medal, 7-eleven fun run t-shirt, a dry- fit sleeveless, a certificate and a few 7-eleven free items.This is the first ever Fun Run Medal that Lakwatserang Nins & Rich received in their entire life.

This is the overview of the 7-eleven Virtual 10km Run. We finished the 10 km run for almost 3 hours. People might think that three hours is too long for a 10 km run. As beginners, we thought that this is just reasonable since we do not have proper trainings like the usual preparations of athlete runners.

We were filled with happiness when we arrived at Jessa's house. Jessa's mother and father prepared food for us. They prepared Lechon Manok (roasted chicken), Sinugbang Isda (Grilled Fish) with mouth watering sauce, and some seafood. It was all so delicious. Filipino food are always the best!

Jessa's family is so welcoming. We also felt like we belong in their family. We would love to be their adopted daughters. (Just kidding! 😂)

Overall, it was a good experienced and our weekend was well spent and productive. Although, the next day, the lakwatseras suffered from heavy muscle pain which made them walked like a cripple as they go to work on a Monday morning. 😆
