I was talking to someone about playing Golem Overlord today, and someone else jumped in to point out that "it's just a clone of Terracore." I think a lot of people are saying it, and it's probably holding some people back from giving GO a try. I never played Terracore, I'm not a Dev, and couldn't code to save my life. I just listen to gamers talk and when I heard the game I was playing was a clone, I figured "might as well take a look at the original right?"
So this is what I found. When I took a look, Terracores SCRAP coin was hovering under $.05 and had been for awhile. The creator of GO is/was? the #1 player of Terracore, from what I can tell he was playing and loved Terracore but realized it was going to be overrun by Multi-account bot farms and decided to build his own version that would protect the players. (To be clear guess, rumors, and speculation) When the price started falling in GO he implemented the 75% rule, as in you have to Burn 75% of what you claim or you will get a claim penalty. As GO (and I assume Terracore) are games centered around gathering a coin and burning it to increase your gathering potential, requiring the player base to burn 75% of what they've claimed or be penalized seems to fix what's broken in Terracore, unless the price was supposed to hover around 11 hive I truly don't know.
That is when I bought in, the price had dropped to .33 hive and when the 75% rule was implemented it quickly shot back up and has stayed pretty steady. After looking into it I don't think it's just a clone just a fixed version of another game that was fun. I'd much rather play GO where the parts are scarce and worth something. It may change in the future, but with the updates already planned and the speed that they've been getting implemented, I think I'll be playing this one for a long while.
