Thank you, yes it is not a textile, it is a cellulose (biopolymer) and has a potential. It is not as durable as leather but it has its own charm, if it is ooked after it will last a long time. Happy New year to you too! 🎉

Very interesting. I do wonder if it could be used with some kind of reinforcement material to increase its durability.
Yes, you could, or add something in the liquid while fermenting to increase the tensile strength; I plan on experimenting with that as I have a few things in mind that could make it more durable.
That's something I hadn't considered. I'm interested to see your future experiments!
