RE: Preserve & Ferment: A Community for Food Preservation and Fermentation Enthusiast

in Food Preservation7 days ago (edited)

That’s wonderful @cicisaja. Indeed, it’s an art. The more we practice, the more we learn how. Sometimes, learning through others' experiences is just as valuable. Plus, it’s all about the journey and experimentation – every try, whether successful or not, adds to your knowledge. Hopefully, we can attract a few people to Hive as well, helping the community grow in this area. Thanks for joining! 😊

My pleasure 😉🤗 I have so much on my plate, but I know what's the most interesting thing to appreciate. I wish I could show you my sundried bilimbi candy which I made a couple years ago. I don't want to recycle the post, so I will make another one when my bilimbi tree bears its fruits after the rainy season over 🤗 tbh, I have more hilarious experimental experience to share than a success one.

If you're an old hivians, you'll know these words "if you can't create a good post then try to create an entertaining one 😉"

That sounds interesting! And your experiment is intriguing, haha. I made jam out of bilimbi, and it was very nice; I miss it, actually. In the Philippines, we have a tree full of fruits overlooking the kitchen window! I use it for any dish that needs a tart flavour. I would love to see your bilimbi creation when you have the time. I’m not an old hivian, but I get what you mean. 😄
