In these regular updates we will bring fresh content to Hive, in the form of our game coding experiences; IBT is a developing PC game - the one to have future Crypto interactions.
New Resources
We added a few new more building resources into IBT Island. One is cement and the other metal. There is crafting in the game already but the building resources are completely different. Being able to upgrade your walls to wood, stone, cement or metal will protect you from the elements that the unpredictable Australian climate has to offer. Plus if you want to decorate your shelter with a few accessories this will come from here too.
Our new save system
Last week we built a new save system. The old one was tedious and painful as for every part of the save file had to collect each and every mesh (trees, flowers, items etc.) and were individually saved. Now things are saved in groups making it easier to do future updates and add extra items without too much work. All we do is just drag in a extra save module (Illustrated as a disk in the image provided), give it a number and boom, done, everything saved and then put in a save slot to conveniently load later.
Building waterfalls
Australia does have high mountains and underground springs that can cause flowing water. Over time this will erode stone, soils and cause waterfalls in places. so for the next week we will be working hard on perfecting waterfalls and flowing water along with ponds/dams that don't flow at all. If your quiet enough you will hear the frogs and toads enjoying the wet areas. Plus birds like fresh water so if your dying of thirst it might pay to look up and see if any are around.
