IBT Survival Island - Update

In these regular updates we will bring fresh content to Hive, in the form of our game coding experiences; IBT is a developing PC game - the one to have future Crypto interactions.

Time for another important update, lets go.

Welcome to Australia

Some readers may already know, IBT is two separate games. One is based on Aussie survival and the other is practically a medieval game build on the creativity of two brothers that wish to share their mental health issues with other players in a videogame. (There, I said it!) For now, here is a scene from the survival game after we set up a cozy little house next to the lake. We ourselves were blown away from how the terrain looks Australian. For anyone who has not been or seen Australia, our graphics will give you a glance of what it really does look like. We suggest you bring some insect repellant!!!!

Packaging test

template_copy2.webp

We wont go into details but a big boo boo has happened again with some code that was saved faulty after doing a save that's supposed to stop having faulty code saves. (Did that make sense?) Anyway for the 3rd time running this is the FIRST time we did a packing after a bug. Therefore we have started to work around problems that took MONTHS to figure out. Plus we have started saving snippets of code so if something does stuff up, its a mind boggling and boring copy paste session. (The image shown here is a desktop pic of the packing program.)

Riding animals still being worked on

hhhh.gif

One feature we are really trying to get to work flawlessly is riding various animals. Currently they are getting stuck on certain objects and meshes even though they have paths to follow. But the longer we play around the smoother its starting to work.

That's it for this update - lots of items completed, lots more to come, the game(s) have allot behind them and it should keep playing coming back.

We have a Dicord Channel, if keen for it pop a message here and jump in and drop us a line and help with some testing.

Cheers

Sort:

Haven't checked in on a while on this project myself.

Looks like super amazing progress has been made, the house and the landscape look great.

Thanks very much. It has been a bit of a weird experience, in that, the better you understand the editor, the more you realise you can do... haha thus making it difficult to ever finish.

Cheers
