Once I sit down and ask myself one very frank question; Why do we human beings go after so many things that we cannot carry on to the grave? Why are we stressing, trying hard, and straining every single day when we are fully aware that when we get to the end of our walk on earth, none of these material things is going to accompany us?
However, there is a moment when I still rise in the morning, dress, and go out to hustle as well as everybody. And gradually I have understood that it is more than wanting to get money or worldly delights.
The reality is that life is in itself a responsibility journey. Our riches might not come with us to heaven but we can now use them to create a worthy life. When I go out to work I am not simply out there to have a good frolic with money I am creating comfort, safety and stability to myself and people who I love.
Although all that we currently possess will ultimately be forgotten, the imprints of our lives, how we treated our neighbors and how we handled our assigned roles will continue to echo even after we have passed.
We are fighting day in day out to match with life since survival is an aspect of being human. Food, shelter, clothing, education, the list is not long these are necessities. And to get them, we must work.
Hustling is not only about accumulating treasures it is about preserving dignity, providing a future to our families and seeing that we do not lead a dependent life. Every morning I get up, and my brain explains me that although this world is temporary, my today can define tomorrow of someone.
The social pressure is also contributed by the society. We desire to feel like we are accepted, respected and valued. We are sometimes chasing after standards with the aim of fitting in and at other times we are chasing after standards with the aim of making our families to suffer or not have good opportunities.
I do it because I do not want my future children to live as I did. I work hard, because I do not want to be a burden, but a blessing.
It will die away and the worldly delights, yet the love that we give, the lives we touch and the legacy we bequeath will not die away. How we spent our treasures is the best thing at the end of the day but not the quantity of treasures we accumulated.
In order to leave the world better than I found it, this is why I continue pushing because although I will leave everything behind, I will leave it better.

Sincerely, there are times I ask myself such questions too.
But then, we need to understand that we are doing it for a whole lot of reasons, one of which is to have a better life not just for ourselves but for those around us.
At then end, what we used that which we gather for is what matters most.
