Writing this post tonight, I just had the thought that if aliens should just show up at the surroundings of where I am staying right now, fear will firstly grip my mind. And at the same time I will be very curious because what always comes to my mind upon seeing someone for the first time is that this person is a stranger even though they are from my village not to talk about other planets.
But the first thing I will do is to summon courage and approach it to politely greet it because that is a sign of peace and respect in my culture. Even though my mind might be beating so fast but I will be very polite in the things I say and how I handle things. Like asking the alien some questions on why he is here, maybe he lost his way or is in some kind of troubles. But all I know is that I would be very polite so as not to create fear that would result into violence.
The kind of response it gives will determine what I will do, if the response it good, then. I know that my neighborhood and household is safe. But if the response is otherwise, then I will know how to keep my distance because peace is the priority, not violence.
Like they usually say In my culture, a visitor should not over stay his welcome, and personally, I think having an alien In our midst is not something that's safe, and they should go back to where they came from. But like I said, the first impression it brings is important, and that is what will show how I wish respond.
Even though I know how to show people hospitality, at the same time, I am always cautious, and this is how I will do it throughout to protect myself, my family, and my surroundings, because our interaction will determine the type of story we will share.
