It sounds good to the ears to rewatch ones history, probably catch up with one of those memories that's dear to us. But there's a downsides to every good thing, and sometimes the cost may weigh more than the upsides. If I was given an opportunity to be able to record my past so I can rewatch it, I would turn down the offer, and this is because of its negative impact that may haunt my present and probably my future. Not like my past is bad that I want to avoid it, but the impact of certain things from the past may influence my present.
One negative impact of rewatching ones history is that it may lead to unforgiveness. We are all trying to move away from the past and this is because our past do not all hold pleasant memories, but also things we hope to forget. Rewatching such past makes fresh the wound we are trying to heal and once again bring us to that point we've long forgotten.

Another negative impact of recording and rewatching ones history is the breech of privacy. What if our record is handled by someone who has always wanted to bring us down, you no longer lie to cover up certain things for your safety because people would demand a tape that contain those events. Children would want to know the life their parents lived and parents would monitor every thing their children do. It would be the end of privacy. People's weakness would be made open. Even though it looks good on the surface when the issue of politics and crime is involved, it would only deny us the joy of a free and private life
Finally, another negative impact of recording and rewatching ones history is the future manipulation that would be rampart. Since our past can be recorded and seen, people would play the saint but the intentions remain hidden from the camera. While people may want to rewatch their past and connect to their lovely memories once again, I'll prefer to focus on the future and leave behind the past.
They say history is written by the victor so as it stands if one is able to rewatch the past, I believe there would be traces of misleading information from what exists today. People who tell stories about the past usually do so in a way that'll always make them seem like the good guy and the victim all in one. So if I can ever get the opportunity to rewatch true life events, I would do so in a heartbeat because there are still a lot of things that makes no sense to me till this very day
Hahaha. Especially history concerning religion right
