Well, a real shitshow was started by the Nick Fuentes “Your body, my choice” tweet and the enthusiastic embrace of it by more than a handful of misogynists. Don’t know if 4B will have staying power in the U.S., but a lot of women were/are seriously pissed off.

I"m sure it isn't as widespread as the little bits and pieces that I see of the truly mental people online. I can't imagine being friends with someone like that, actually I know that I wouldn't be able to be. I just wonder how much of it is real and how much of it is a cry for attention.
The first somewhat crazy reaction to a presidential loss that I can recall is the people that turned up for W's inauguration with signs depicting that it was going to be the end of the world.
Neither Fuentes nor 4B are anything more than internet nonsense.
Oh, the Fuentes assholery spills over into the real world. I’m only aware of this particular instance because it’s a few miles from where I live, but I can’t imaging that it’s unique:
I've heard about these mass texts. This is someone with access to tech and metadata on a trolling campaign. It's not a mass movement of some kind. I doubt it's even someone on the political right. This looks like someone trying to spark protests and potentially even violence for their own ends.
