Everything is politics now and I'm pretty sure everyone is tired of it

I expect all the regular news sites to be absolutely inundated with Trump or Harris stuff, most of it just continual mud-slinging as if there were still some people out there that didn't know who they were going to vote for months or even years ago. It's Blue vs Red and I don't believe their are very man actual swing voters out there. I think most people have election fatigue and really just want this to all be over with. I am one of the people that intentionally avoids most of the things that are written about the US Presidential election because it is all just the same talking points over and over again and my aggregate feeds are just filled with "Trump is finished" or "Kamala gets the worst news of her life" headlines that point to an article that doesn't give any new information, just a new poll of 400 people or so that gives us slightly different information than the last one they did a few days ago.

I can't even imagine how horrible it must be to live in Pennsylvania right now. The annoyances must be never-ending.

For the hell of it I went to some forums on reddit and 4chan in groups that are specifically designed to NOT be about politics and they too have been overrun with complete and total political hysteria and well, these next 3 weeks couldn't go by faster so we can be done with this crap.

This is supposed to be a subreddit about crazy news stories from around the world yet 50% of the links on here lead to something related to the US Presidential election. Myself and thousands of others automatically downvote anything that strays from what the subreddit is supposed to be about but yet these articles make it through anyway. I can't help but think that there are political operatives with tons of accounts that are forcing these articles into all types of places that they do not belong and are actually overruling the policies of said groups with their numbers. I don't care enough to dig into it but on other sites such as 4-chan it is being pointed out by long-term users that the accounts that are posting these links are accounts that are just a few months old and therefore, it is easy to conclude that they were put there specifically for the purpose of pushing political propaganda.

Another political activist group that I never thought I would see jump into the fray is the porn industry, who is using a bunch of porn stars to attempt to sway people to vote for Harris.

This is beyond pathetic because if you follow things at all in the realm of politics you already know that Trump has stated over and over again that he has nothing to do with project 2025 yet the left still keeps trying to push it into people's heads that he does. I recall a long time ago that a similar hit job was done on a man named Ron Paul that was attempting to make him look racist because an article was published praising him in a publication that is known to be a white supremacist publication. Ron Paul had nothing to do with the publication and he denounced them immediately. Yet it still stuck with the electorate because the MSM and social media kept repeating over and over that he was supported by this group. I knew a bunch of people that ended up believing that Ron Paul had WRITTEN the publication because of the repeated lies by the media.

I'm not claiming that just one side is responsible for this but I do think the left engages in these sorts of tactics more frequently. The right does it as well but I think it is pretty well known that the left controls most of the media in the world. The subreddits and 4-chan forums that have been invaded by political propaganda have just as many right-wing links as they do left-wing. It appears as though the war for politics is just going to be everywhere that we look for another month.

I am part of a growing populace that just wants all of these people to shut the hell up about it. Sadly, I think that whatever happens in November that this will not be the end of it. The political machine will continue long afterwards and we will likely be back to where we were 8 years ago when Trump won the first time: All articles will be fighting against anything that he says and MSM will be doctoring videos and quotes to make the population believe he did something when he didn't really do it. It will happen if Harris wins as well but probably to a lessor degree.

For me, I just want to look at something that doesn't have any sort of political programming built into it for a while and am hopeful that after November that perhaps we can go back to enjoying things again. I doubt it, but am hopeful.
