The Embarrassing School Memory | The Rumple Uniform Student

Checking out the calling out prompt for the week made me remember one of the embarrassing moment in school, back then in my senior secondary school set, I was one of the best student and you know we always have this calm character, the book worm but I don't use eyewears which is one of the bookworms school logo. But I was the weird one because I don't have friends and I rarely talk in class, in fact I do sit alone in class except they pair me with a boy to sit beside me because girls are like distractions to me, So most girls saw me as someone that is proud and also shy but I don't care.

There is this saying that "you cant be 100% good or should I say perfect**, I have this bad character which was really obvious, I don't like ironing my cloths even my school uniform, even if my dad ask me to iron his cloth, I do give the grumpy look and won't iron the cloth well. Most times, I will just fold my school uniform, then put it under my bed till the following morning, it won't be that smooth but I do see it as my own best way of not wearing a rough uniform to school until one day, when my punishment cooler got filled up, I didn't know some of my teachers noticed how I do wear rough cloth to school and as one of the best student with such attitude, they didn't like it but instead of them to call and inform or warn me, they didn't but one of them decided to embarrass me, What did he do?

There was a day, they were to announce the school prefect, it was actually a day we student do look forward to and I have this guy who was my bestie but in commercial class, we do compete a lot and he always told me he will be the time keeper then straight to head prefect boy and I do laugh at it because it is not possible, from the school history a science student have to be the head prefect boy but because I was shy, I didn't even want the post so I do tell him to go and take the post if he can. So that day before they made the announcement, I came to school with my rough school uniform as usual, as long as no one talk about it, I don't mind but this very day, the particular teacher called me out to the podium and he was like, he can't imagine how someone like me will be wearing rough cloth to school and he was dragging my cloth so people can see, then he asked this embarrassing question "Don't you have Iron at home or have light", Omo I was just quiet while looking at the sky.

I was happy he didn't beat me that day but he was like I have to come to school with an iron and if I don't have iron at home, I should get the old charcoal iron, which I will bring to school and iron my cloth in his presence if I can't iron at home. That day was really embarrassing and I had to walk back to the assembly with my head down, to now make the matter worse, they announced the school prefect and I was called first as the school time keeper (as ss2 student) among the whole SS3 who were the prefect. I wasn't happy because I was embarrassed first and I had to iron my school uniform every day till we graduate.
