Woohoo! I still can’t believe what happened today, did my team just bag the whole three points in today’s game? Oh my goodness, this is wonderfully awesome. Honestly, the last thing I expected from today’s match against Tottenham hotspur was a win. I was hoping to see both teams fight it out on the field till the very end. It won’t be bad to have both teams go home with one point each, atleast that’s better than nothing. That’s the best consolation prize for a good game well played. A Draw was the outcome i was expecting today, but then i already prepared myself for any form of further disappointment, and that’s because i know my team quite well. I know how crazy they can be sometimes. It’s better not to have any hope from them than to have one, only for it to be shattered by a nonsensical gameplay…
I must give kudos to the REDS for standing their ground till the end. I didn’t watch the match but from what i saw on the statistics board, the game was a bloody one. Two red cards were handed out to a couple of Tottenham’s players, several yellow cards were handed out to both teams, but then Tottenham suffered more than we did in the game because of their gameplay. They are to be blamed for the cards given to their players…
Now, let’s talk about the formation Arne Slot used to win today’s game. As usual, we played our normal formation ( 4-2-3-1). I was wondering why Mohammed Salah wasn’t started in today’s game, but then i found out later on that he was absent today because of the ongoing AFCON CUP qualifier. We had other capable players to fill his spot. The boys really went all in today. They really gave their best in today’s game and their efforts were rewarded with a win. What a beautiful result, we need all the points we can get now, the premier league table is not looking funny any more. The competition has become more competitive. Small teams from nowhere be doing the most, especially the relegated teams. They really came to premier league with their A game…
Liverpool really dominated today’s game. I was on the livescore app for the first 30 minutes of the game. I had to quit the app because the game was already getting boring. I decided not to monitor the game anymore and just got busy with something else. I just hoped they played well and bring home atleast one point if not the whole three points…
This was my expectation from them, and that’s because they have been playing their worst games possible for the last couple of weeks. I have been left disappointed for too long, and now I expect little to nothing from them. If they win, fine. If they don’t win, still fine by me. The only thing I’m concerned about is for them to by all means make the top 4 in the league table…
As long as they are in the race for the champions league cup, then to hell with every other trophy…
In summary. today’s game was indeed a great one, i love what the boys demonstrated today. If i must confess to the truth, i’d say they are starting to grow on me again…
In conclusion, we are currently standing on the 5th position right now. Chelsea is above us with the same points after a draw from them, next week will be the tie breaker. Great job guys, let’s keep it moving…
