RE: Life Is Unpredictable: Don’t Leave Your Family in the Dark

The conversation on telling your spouse your pin and giving them access to your account can sometimes be a double edged sword, especially now that divorce is flying here and there. This, I believe is the reason why most people (both men and women) find it difficult to trust their partners with these things, because some times that trust can be broken and when that happens, it can take that person from being a millionaire, down to being poor all in a blink of an eye.

It all depends on how wicked their partner is.

To me, I feel the best solution to this kind of problem is creating a seperate family emergency bank account that both partners have access to and can use it for emergencies like this, while also having their own individual bank accounts.

Okay...I see your point which is very true but yet not applicable to all spouse . Honestly , it's still a concern that banks are usually the luckiest ones swimming on dead pples money instead of their family member. The idea of creating a separate bank.acconut Incase of such emergency is fine but what will happen to the main money and asset of a dead spouse if no one can access it including the brothers or sisters of that person ?
