Life, life is shit when you have nothing. Conversely, life is beautiful when you have something, loved ones and a great carrier.
Frustrateed, dejected, no love, less motivation and lost relationships, are the things you always see, if you are not yet successful.
The storms of life will hit, things will go bad, sometimes, with no hopes of becoming better, but, in the midst of the down times, there is always a light, just that, at times, we are blinded by our constant worries, and fail to see the light.
I love being independent, but i didn't know, how to be independent. ignorant to the fact that life is survival of the fittest, i went out to live alone, far away from my parents. This happened many years ago. about 6 to 7 years ago.
The first few weeks went well, and I thought that things will continue to be as soft as it has been. Little did i know that i was up for a serious challenge that i will never forget in my life.
The harsh part of life, and it seemed like somebody was somewhere, pulling the strings, just to see me suffer. I tried different things, but it didnt work.
My last resort was to become a yahoo boy. I joined, but i could ot tolerate the fact that i had too stoop soo low, to scam people for money. it was a pinch to my person. i could not bear to see people hurt, so, i decided to back out.
In the face of the other yahoo boys, this was a bad decision, so, who was once part of them, became a victim. worst, my closest friend, the one i trusted the most, pulled it off.
i was hurt, but i took it as a way of me, paying for the bad things i did. Karma at work.
When i was there, there are many street quotes, one of which is;
E no get wetin pikin no go see for life, but, no matter weting, pikin wey dey help him mama sale charcoal, go stil wear white. na just time and efforts e go take.
Meaning:
A child will see many hells as he live on, but with time, a child that sells charcoal for his parents, will surely wear white. it will take just time and efforts.
This quote has always been on my heart. it gave me hope. My parents are not actually "rich," but they are trying.
With this quote in mind, i began to see my self as a different person. i am not like other people. i can not go into scamming, because life will scam me in return, so, i had to put in my time, and efforts into something good.
My trobles did not stop, so i had to travel to Abuja for a fresh start. Things became worst there, but with this quote in mind, i believed that, one day, i will wear white (becoeme successful).
One thing lead to another, and i decided to further my studies. I wanted to add value to the community, so i took a form for nursing,
A lot of troubles were faced, but then, i always belileve that, this poor struggling boy, will wear white someday.
Though i became i nurse, and i am adding value to the country, i still dont consider myself to have achieved anything or to be a successful person.
To me, success comes with financial freedom. I dont have that yet.
I will wear white, it will take just time and lots of efforts.
