Holiday Transition to the usual? My take!

in Hive Naija17 days ago

The holiday is completely over now, and we would like to know how it felt switching from the holiday mood back to our usual life routine. It could be resumption to work or school; tell us about it.

Im backkkkkkkkkkkkk ( in referencee to naira marley’s new song) off topic, but the whole naira marley comeback and his new song going viral really just shows how fickle cancel culture and human beings are. This minute they hate you and swear to have nothing to do with you and in most serious cases where it should remain so, they forget so easily and start rocking with you but that is a discussion for another day. I usually steer clear of certain controversial topics but this one is well, chileeee

The festive holidays lasted for almost forever for some but to me, honestly, I couldn’t care much because holiday or no holiday, my life is pretty much the exact same and the only time I am actively on holiday is when school is on break since I’ve not really started working. So, if I am to talk about switching from holiday mood to my usual life routine, I would not say that there was a usual life routine. I have always been big on spontaneity but recently, it is on my vision board, (I wouldn’t say a new year’s resolution) to create a routine while maintaining my flexibility.

After the holiday, I resumed school and I must say this particular semester has been a lot because it is kind of a continuation from last year, there has been a rush on us to meet up with a lot of deadlines owing the fact that our exams start almost immediately. Thinking about it now, I kind of pity some persons running for official positions be cause not only do they have to shoulder the stress but they also have to prepare for school exams.

On the other side, I am also going out of my way to do things like juggling school and doing other courses. Usually, I would say that I am good at multi-tasking but this one is really something out of my comfort zone. Apart from times when I feel like yapping, I usually don’t like saying stuff that may be confidential to me at the time or a lifetime secret to people I am not comfortable sharing it with………..it is not that I believe in jinxing something or anything like that but certain things that people consider normal to share is not to me and while I don’t like being normal, I get called weird a lot and I’ve embraced that with nothing but positivity and goodness for everything associated with the word. I find people telling me things comfortably and I appreciate it. I appreciate being that confidant and keeping the confidence and I appreciate finding one in someone too.

Back to topic, leaving home for school will normally take atoll on every student. For me, it is especially stressful leaving home to come to stay in a school environment where there is barely light and or water. With the exams coming up, food adds up to the equationss. Normally I would not really lament about food but coming home from class exhausted, having to spend most if not all your time reading and not finding what to eat is a struggle. It has not been easy but it is something not just me but we, as students' have to do. So, like I said I don't have a routine but I'm working on one. Regardless of this, it has not been easy for me or anyone. Let's all work hard in anticipation of the next holidays, shall we?
Alright, byeeeee

I couldn't enjoy the holiday so well because I am student too. I couldn't even travel home like you did. I had to stay back to do somethings, Jan 3 I had a test and the following week was exam. It was a fast switch from holiday to school life. Deciding on food can be just be a difficult task at times.

There's always that pressure about returning back to school when holidays such as the last were getting over. Something I can relate to. It takes a little on one because you have to go back to the school life which unfortunately is one of a serious fight, if I may.
Well you're back and settled in, it's about continuing now.
