Stepping into the new (My intro post)

Greetings to you all.

I am very excited to be on this platform today. I joined hive a few weeks ago and in just a few days, I have come to be fond of hive. Joining hive was scary initially, as I have little knowledge of crypto currency or about web3 but I am one person who loves learning new things, so I am sure that navigating hive will not so difficult (I'm hoping so).

From all that my onboarder has taught me so far about hive, I am convinced that hive is a great place to be and it's not just for the crypto benefits but also because a lot of sharing and learning takes place on this web3 platform. Even just being here for just a few days, I have learnt a lot about certain subject matters from different bloggers and communities.

I have also come to be introduced to several sharp minds and brains on this platform. It is really fascinating to me and I hope to be more fascinated as I go along with the flow.

Meet me

My name is Melissa and I go by the username melissa25. I am a beautiful brown skinned Nigerian female in my thirties and I'm quite shy. I'm a Christian, a business woman and I'm very friendly when I feel comfortable around people though. I don't trust people easily as life has dealt me many heavy blows from the hands of people.

I am based and live in Lagos . I hope to share my joys, happiness, growth, pains and little wins here on hive as a testament of my life's journey.

I believe that irrespective of the hand we have been dealt with or the circumstances we find ourselves in , good bad, pleasant or unpleasant, I believe that there is still something worth being thankful for in life.

I am currently living in a country with high insecurity issues, economic inflation, economic downward curve, much hopelessness and grievances, that living alone is by God's grace. Survival mode is the current status of two-thirds of my country's population. Yet, citizens are still so hopeful of a better tomorrow and that's why I said that there is something to be grateful for in life.

I am a lover of nature, a business woman or should I call myself an entrepreneur. I own a money transaction business popularly called P.O.S or Point of Sales terminal. It's a business that is lucrative because there is no bank in my current local government. Before a person can get to the bank from my residence, it takes almost three hours and there is no guarantee if the bank attendants will be able to attend to all its customers coming from far and near to transact. So this affords businesses like mine to operate effectively by meeting the cash needs of customers and freeing them from bank hassles for a little fee.

I love bright colours and my favourite colour on the colour spectrum is purple. My hobbies are reading and singing. I also like to stay indoors and sleep whenever I am less busy or I do not open my shop for business like on Sundays.

So this is all the cool stuff about me. Hopefully, life will unfold better things my way as I journey through .
