This is so painful. I had same experience with a cobbler two months ago. He even had the guts to spit rubbish, that I shouted at him and would have called to inform him that morning that I would be coming to pick up my footwear.
In order to avoid more insults because he's very much mouthed, I kept mum and waited for him to finish the repairs. I collected it and left. I had planned on giving him more work, and even refer friends, but that's the end.
