TO EVERY JOURNEY, THERE'S AN END

I still can't believe that I have finally signed out. Having started the journey of higher learning in 2016, stopped at a point because of financial challenges, faced different hurdles along the way, and now taking a walk to end this journey. I'm filled with every bit of emotions you can imagine, bodily stressed out and tired from the whole ordeal, but I still feel this is the best time to write this post as I take a run-through of how my today went.

So I got to school this morning feeling sick (feverish and with a huge tone of headache) and unprepared for the two papers I had to write. We entered the exam hall for the first paper, It was quite easier than I expected, but I didn't finish answering all the questions I was mandated to answer (Question 1 and four others) attempted question 1 and by the time I was in the last question I was already tired of writing so I went to submit.

Coming out after the first paper I was already seeing the atmosphere change with everyone starting to sign on me and my coursemates. We decided to take some pictures, but could only take a few before we were called in for the second paper. The invigilators weren't strict with us as the hall was filled with only final-year students writing their last paper. As a matter of fact, we sat three in a sit and everyone was copying from each other. Something funny happened during the copy section, it was a calculation course that required a lot of steps, and there was a question only I knew and decided to attempt. Everyone was just copying from me until I discovered I made a mistake in the beginning when I was almost done with the steps 😂. My coursemates wanted to eat me raw for that, so I just canceled and started all over again. We all submitted without finishing, I submitted only because of the headache I was having from the beginning of the day. After that, it was just sign-out and pictures.

Looking at the pictures now I can see just how further I have emaciated within the last one month. But I'm glad everything ended in the exam hall. I had to force out a smile in all the pictures as all I wanted to do was go home even though my coursemates were telling me about a party they had planned. But then again I couldn't leave because of some special people who were waiting for me all day long just to celebrate me today. But I told them I wasn't feeling too well to take another walk or go out, so probably we will go on that outing tomorrow. This is all about my sign-out day, I'm glad it has finally become a reality even after the delays I had encountered In life.
