You have amazing parents who allow you to be what you want to be. Some are the opposite, they decide for their kids which to me is not good. We knew of some who forced their children to study courses they didn't want which is a crazy thing to do in my opinion.

Indeed. While some turn out okay, most usually become rebellious and don't do well when forced to take a career path that doesn't align with what they want.
