In our current economy situation, its rather very difficult to say or turn down a plea from somone needing financial assistance, especially when you still have some pennies in your pocket even if its nit spare cash, there is always that tempting lure to pull it out, but we must be wise enough to know when to draw the curtains.
Like i feel this is something we all have fallen victim of at one point or the other trying to come through for someone even at our own detriment, sometimes it goes beyond us, so we feel based on who is involved we can even go ahead to borrow funds or vouch for the person to redeem as at when due, only for us to realise that the table as turned, sometimes it can get to the point of quarrelling or even fighting or involving the police into it, out of a matter you did politely out of a sincere heart, but at the end of the day turned something else.
Is it true that experience is the best teacher? Yes cause untill you put yourself in that shoe and understand how it felt to trust someone with something that cost you a fortune, turning back to hurt you ontop of that becomes unappreciative, unfaithful to what you both agreed, or betray you at the end, then you will know that certain lines must be drawn no matter what or who is involved.
I have learned my own personal lessons on these and have experience quite some of these financial betrayals, its is common and sometimes you understand the situation at hand and wave the debt off, does it makes you a foul no, but wiser instead.
Most of the times when people come to you for financial assistance, or whatsoever help they need, credit or anything at that point they are the most sincere, honest, transparent human being on earth, but soon after they get their wish, it takes someone with a dear heart who is truely honest and sincere to fulfill that promise, cause i have learnt a lot, because soon after the matter is sorted out and they are okay, there are other things in their lives that needs financing and when they kind of think about paying you off, that means this will suffer and they wouldn't want that to happen, so at that point they will prioritise their current needs over you, in most cases not minding what it has caused you to suspend or let go your own need to help them out...so would say be discreet about your finances....
