2024 Christmas Was Such A Day

The long-awaited Christmas has come and gone. Everything happened so fast, the way it came and went was as if it wasn't the day that we were eagerly looking forward to.

Last year's Christmas wasn't bad at all. It was one of the best Christmas celebrations for me so far. Usually, I celebrate my Christmas and new year indoors, watching movies or sleeping but last year, things took another form.

Prior to that day, I promised to take my crush out. Among many things that made me long for the day was that it was going to be my first time taking someone on a date.

Unfortunately, the lady didn't turn up as planned on the 25th. I felt so bad I won't lie but I didn't want to ruin the day so I decided to take my friend and my younger sister on a date instead.

We went to Gaji, one of the trending places down here. I had never had shawarma before, so that day I decided to try it out. Funny enough I wasn't the only one in that situation, my Stephen was also a victim but my sister had it before.

After getting it, we couldn't get a place to sit because of how crowded the place was. They say "There is no money," but the way that place was filled with people was something else. There was literally no table that we saw that was empty. People have money low key even amidst this hardship, LoL.

Since we didn't get where to sit to consume what we got and they seem not to also have ice cream and coconut yoghurt, we decided to go to Jk palms to get those things and to also relax there.

Arriving at Jk, everywhere was occupied too but we managed to get somewhere to set a table. After that we got a few drinks though what we wanted were not available, we just had to get what they had then we began to dine.

Thanks to God, we sat in a hidden location and it was night, If not I and my friend would have trended on social media for eating shawarma like village boys. It was just so strange, I was expecting it to look and taste like cake or doughnuts but It was something far from my expectations.

That stuff was damn big, my friend and I couldn't exhaust one. We had to bring the other one home.

I also met a lot of people, my friends from highschool, college and even those who were not in town for sometime. At one point it was like a reunion. It was such a moment.

Lastly, before I came home, I visited a friend of mine who came from Ebonyi for holidays, it was her place I visited last before coming home. The time I spent with her was another sweet moment. She really made my day. I wish I can bring back all those moments.

Although I was disappointed by my crush, I had a great day last year's Christmas was not bad at all. I had fun and great memories.

Thanks For Reading

Boss it sounds like you had an amazing Christmas last year despite the initial disappointment. I love how you turned a potentially ruined day into a fun adventure with your friend and sister. The shawarma experience had me laughing,l sha😂👋, and I can just imagine you and your friend eating like 'village boys' . It's great that you got to catch up with old friends and make new memories. Your positive attitude and ability to find joy in unexpected situations is really inspiring to me.
Less I forget you owe me a Shawarma whenever I come to town😌

Shey you ran, we would have gone out together and probably, I wouldn't have to eat like a village boy🤣.

Sometimes we just have to find happiness even out of things that were meant to break us🥰

Thanks for reading daddy
