I was never meant to do hard jobs, that's what the doctors said after I was diagnosed with an illness at an early age. But then if I don't work, nobody would foot my bills, so I had to put myself out there and take the risk. It was better to suffer the consequences than sit there and do nothing, hoping people will sympathize with me and cover for my bills and feeding. Over the years I had taken the hive platform to be my main hustle, whatever I do outside the hive Blockchain i tag as the side hustle and sometimes the side hustle even pays more.
Since I joined the hive Blockchain, I have engaged in a few side hustles, one was offline and the other two online. I'll be sharing my experiences with the side Hustles, one came with consequences and the other was not too hard on me. I only had to find a way to cope with extra work.
Back in 2022
After my youth service. Everyone wanted to see me do a physical work, but I was always indoors. A few people asked me if I wouldn't go for job hunting and I told them I will. When the questioning became too much I decided to join a friend of mine who was a tiler. My major main was to satisfy the people who were tired of seeing me indoors and to reduce how much I sleep. He was happy i joined him and he took me along with him to serve him while he did the major work. My duty was to mix sand and cement, then serve him. I did a few easy ones until the day I had to mix one pickup of sand. Even my system could testify the energy that went out of me that very day. I felt sick the next day, and I used all the money and extra for drugs. No one had to tell me to stop.
Then I settled for online side hustle
I knew earning on hive wasn't enough, besides I wasn't entitled to what I get in a post, so it was all luck and how well I related with the activities happening on the platform. I had to find a few online jobs since doing hard work was a risk. It was at that time that I discovered the "wombat app" , a place where I play games and earn wombuck points that can be converted to EOS, MATIC , or other tokens. I also earn NFT by completing milestones in some games and by doing certain activities which are converted to EOS. I also walk for money. I trek for money , download sweatcoin and you'll know your sweat can also give you some coins.
Long-term side hustle
Other hustles that have been paying also are "airdropping " . We mine free coins and expect them to be listed in a short time. Some of these airdrops had been useless and some had been rewarding, and I have been on this airdrop for a long time now and it seems to be a strategic hustle with future anticipation.
This is in response to the Contest by the hivenaija weekly contest. It's still active for participation

Interesting side hustles for sure @dwixer
If I might suggest one more, how about writing an entire novel? I have read your fiction and you are quite enthusiastic in it. Writing for content, and further writing a book or two could be great avenues for passive income.
I have worked in a company all my life and to do all my duties to my family i need to be employed till I retire. but that day is only a decade away. So I too need to think of side hustles which can later become my main one once I retire. Trying to work out what I could do best outside of an enterprise.
Cheers from a fellow #dreemerforlife
I was hoping to join the Amazon GDP where people write short stories and sell. I just haven't been motivated enough.
And you're right, it's important that we have something we can rely on after retirement, it'll help a lot
What is the Amazon GDP? Never heard of it.
People write and publish it for sell there
Wow, you really have done a lot of side hustles, I hope you find something that brings in a stable income.
