Hello to my fellow Naija people!
Big kudos to the moderators for this amazing prompt, you guys are doing great.
If I could choose between 1 million Naira in cash, approximately $1250, or a day with Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa.
What would I go for?
Immediately I saw the topic, I did not have to think much before I decide on what I was going to pick which is the 1 million naira.
It is a great honor to meet with the richest man in Africa, dining and taking pictures with him but this won't take me anywhere, the pictures won't automatically get me a job nor will it make me famous or earn me money.
The reason why I won't pick a day with Dangote is that I hate gambling and a day with Dangote is more of a gamble because there is no assurance he is going to fulfill my wishes in case I ask for any....
Being the Africa richest man, he would probably not have enough time to spare with me and after that day, there is every possibility he won't remember me anymore, moreover, he would think he has done me a great favor by just sitting with me and I don't need such favor, being seen with the richest man in Africa was never part of my big dreams in life.
He is likely going to motivate me with one of those motivational quotes that is already everywhere online and also maybe have a nice meal together which is not exactly what I needed.
If he could probably offer me a job opportunity that will be paying me at least 500 000 naira monthly, then I would choose him over the 1 million naira offer but I doubt that is going to happen.
I would go for the 1 million Naira in cash.
Even with the inflation going on in Nigeria, 1 million Naira is still a huge amount, and like only 20 percent of Nigeria or even less have up to this amount in their bank account, not to talk of those that have never earned this amount in cash.
I can either use this 1 million to renew my house rent for good 2 years which will take the house rent worries off me or I can start up a small business with it that won't cost me much.
Something like a game center business, I can get a Tv, Ps 4 and 3, generator, and other little things needed from the 1 million Naira and slowly I will grow that business...
Better still I can just make it my feeding allowance for the whole year rather than waste time meeting up with Dangote and at the end, I only get a motivational speech like If I can become the richest man in Africa, you can do it too
Omo I can't do it, no one should motivate me🏃.
I know some people would say, since he is the richest man on earth, i should have chosen him and he might give me money worth more than 1 million naira, if you read my post from the beginning, I don't like gamble! it is not certain he is going to give me anything,... A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.

God exists, I am a living testimony
Giving up is not an option, every hustler has a payday
Don't wish for it, Make it happen
Will definitely take my chances with the one million naira in cash thou,
My reasons are simple,
All the interviews and ideas he can give are already online, because I'm very sure he won't be giving any money aside from advice too.
yea, all the motivational speeches he is going to give are online!
He is not going to give me 1million, all this rich people don't just give money without a reason and moreover he already believes he did me a favour with his presence
I also would choose 1 million if the same option was given to me. I think in the long term and money brings money because I can generate money using that money and it will be helpful to lead a happy life also.
Yes. It was same. I like the reasons for the choice. The fact there is that both options are advantageous in our status. Hahaha

yea that is the fact, i decided not to gamble

Grabbing the money you see at hand instead of listening to motivational speeches.. hahaha
That's really a nice view on the topic
