One thing with workaholics is that we barely have time for ourselves. It's mostly work, work and more work. For workaholics it is a busy schedule. But, for some people who do not fit into the workaholics bracket, it is ignorance and financial constraints. Thus, for the above reason, it's very easy to see or hear people drop dead.

One minute you heard from someone doing fine, alive and well, but the next minute you are hearing the person dropped dead. Sometimes, while time is a factor against healthcare routine, other times it's finance. It's even worse in third world countries where insurance is barely a thing and most of the things that we do is pay from pocket.

People do not also feed well as they ought to, food are genetically modified as science experiment, organic farming is almost going extinct and on top of all that, some of us barely get enough rest time.

If I could invent a new holiday to address all this issues, it will be health awareness day. A day set aside maybe biannually or quarterly where people get a day off work to tend to their health. I know there are several health awareness day but where this one becomes different is that, actions will be taken and efforts will be made in all sector and unit. It will not be a social media flex or an activity for few private individuals to participate in or carry out.

On this particular health awareness day, it's going to be a national holiday where each citizen or resident of a country gets a free general body check up at various established health centers. After the check ups, in cases of any underlying ailment, the person gets subsidized or free health care depending on their employment status.

Some bodies will be authorized to checkmate food items on sales and test for any harmful preservatives, ingredients or farming methods.

Still on health awarenesses day, jingles and talk shows on health and lifestyle will air on TV and radio programmes.

Social media handles will be created solely for the purpose of sharing and discussing everything health as it borders around lifestyle too. The day to be set aside for this activity will either be on Friday or Monday so that it collides with the weekend and everyone gets enough rest before getting back on their jobs and businesses.

Again, the shows on health and lifestyle will linger throughout the weekend. It will be a loud awareness such that every where you go, anywhere you enter, cab, train, malls, public space etc will have an electronic device spreading the words.

Further more, some health personnel will spread out to cover all areas, this is to break every religious/traditional barrier. No one will be left behind, mobility will not be an issue and women who are restricted to their homes due to their religious beliefs or culture will not miss out.
