Estas semanas viendo el acontecer noticioso en el mundo, me ha hecho pensar en algo que de seguro a alguno de nosotros nos ha pasado en cierto momento por la mente, lo efímera que es nuestra vida.

These weeks watching the news events in the world, has made me think about something that surely some of us have gone through our minds at some point, how ephemeral our lives are.

Es increíble ver como nuestro tiempo en la tierra se nos va día tras día, sin pensar que en cualquier momento podríamos dejar de estar, ya no más problemas, ya no más oportunidades, ya no más preocupaciones tontas.

It is incredible to see how our time on earth goes away from us day after day, without thinking that at any moment we could stop being, no more problems, no more opportunities, no more silly worries.

A veces nos gastamos nuestra vida, preocupándonos por cosas que tienen solución, descuidando cosas valiosas como nuestra familia o seres queridos y sobretodo olvidándonos de lo más importante: vivir!

Sometimes we spend our lives worrying about things that have a solution, neglecting valuable things like our family or loved ones and above all forgetting the most important thing: to live!

El punto es, que la mayoría de las veces nos pasamos la vida buscando algo que sin darnos cuenta ya tenemos o para cuando creemos haberlo conseguido ya se nos ha agotado el tiempo de nuestra vida o en el peor de los casos, nos toca partir sin haberlo conseguido.

Nuestro tiempo de vida en la tierra es incierto, nuestra vida es efímera, nunca sabemos cuándo es la hora de partir de cada quien; les puedo contar en experiencia propia, que hubo un tiempo donde mi mamá y yo enfermamos gravemente, a tal punto que temíamos por la vida de ella por el estado en que se encontraba y una semana después mi papa tuvo que acudir al médico por un dolor en su abdomen, finalizando esa semana murió, un acontecer que nos conmovió e impacto a todos, una de las personas que aparentaba estar bien, era quien estaba más próximo a irse.

Our time of life on earth is uncertain, our life is ephemeral, we never know when it is time to leave; I can tell you from my own experience, that there was a time when my mother and I became seriously ill, to the point that we feared for her life because of the state she was in and a week later my father had to go to the doctor because of a pain in his abdomen, at the end of that week he died, an event that moved and impacted us all, one of the people who appeared to be well, was the one who was closer to leaving.

El año pasado también descubrimos que mi mamá padecía de cáncer en una etapa avanzada, una vez más, temimos por el bienestar de su salud y su vida, al día de hoy se encuentra bien gracias a Dios y con nosotros, pero en el transcurrir de su tratamiento, 3 personas cercanas fallecieron, 2 familiares y un amigo de la familia.

Last year we also found out that my mom was suffering from cancer in an advanced stage, once again, we feared for her health and her life, to this day she is well thanks to God and with us, but in the course of her treatment, 3 close people passed away, 2 relatives and a family friend.

Esto nos demuestra que quien menos esperas sea quien este más próximo a partir, por eso la importancia de vivir cada momento: ríe, comparte, diviértete, se feliz, disfruta, ama y abraza; pues no sabemos cuándo es nuestro momento. Aunque suene muy cliché y sean cosas que escuchemos seguido, no sabemos la importancia tras estas palabras y que por cosas del día a día pasamos por alto.

This shows us that the one you least expect is the one who is closest to leaving, that is why it is so important to live every moment: laugh, share, have fun, be happy, enjoy, love and embrace; because we do not know when it is our time. Although it sounds very cliché and are things that we hear often, we do not know the importance behind these words and that for day to day things we overlook.

En ocasiones nuestra propia existencia no depende de nosotros, si no de las decisiones de un tercero, por lo que nunca debemos dar nada por sentado. Se gentil, amable y cariñoso (a), a veces quien menos lo aparenta es quien más necesita de esos gestos y puede que una buena acción sea el ultimo recuerdo que alguien tenga de ti.

Sometimes our very existence does not depend on us, but on the decisions of a third party, so we should never take anything for granted. Be gentle, kind and loving, sometimes the one who seems the least is the one who needs those gestures the most, and a good deed may be the last memory someone has of you.

La vida es efímera, pero es bonita si la sabes vivir.
