Ya hace al rededor de un año le fue diagnosticado un cáncer en la próstata, un golpe muy duro a su ya complicada vida y por supuesto también para toda la familia, no solo desde el punto de vista sentimental sino también en el económico.

Yo soy su único hijo vivo porque mi hermano menor murió hace ya varios años de diabetes juvenil y como saben, solo soy un profesor que gana un sueldo bastante bajo, por lo que a pesar de hacer todos mis esfuerzos trabajando hasta de noche, pagar este tratamiento del cáncer se hace cada vez más difícil.

Debo reconocer que, hemos logrado conseguir algo de ayuda con los medicamentos gratuitos que da el gobierno, los cuales no son los mejores del mercado e incluso algunos dudan de su efectividad, pero como bien dice mi viejo por lo menos es algo.

Con mucho esfuerzo, reunimos cada mes los 150$ que son necesarios para los exámenes, tratamientos y otras pastillas que deben comprarse en las farmacias privadas, pero cada vez esta meta de luchar contra el cáncer se hace más difícil en Venezuela.

Recientemente, mi padre sufrió una inesperada y aparatosa caída mientras se dirigía al baño por la noche, gracias a la colaboración de algunos médicos bondadosos logramos internarlo en un hospital público donde le diagnosticaron una fractura de cadera, cosa que lo mantiene sin poder moverse de la cama a la espera de una operación.

Es aquí donde decidí escribir esta publicación pidiendo la ayuda de Hive, la plataforma que me ha visto crecer hace ya varios años. Necesito reunir por todas las vías posibles una suma de dinero para poder lograr comprar todo lo necesario para la operación, ya que no cuento con el dinero para poder hacerlo.

Con lágrimas en los ojos debo confesar que con mi bajo sueldo como profesor, es imposible que consiga el dinero para poder lograr que mi padre pueda salir con bien de ese hospital y continuar su dura lucha contra el cáncer de próstata, que ya es un tema sumamente difícil, pero que mi padre ha logrado ir superando lentamente con la fe y esperanza que tenemos de mantenerlo con vida a pesar de su edad y así pueda ver crecer a su nieto.
