Saludos a la linda comunidad de Hive. El día de hoy quiero compartir un poco con ustedes lo que han sido estas últimas semanas del año 2021.
Greetings to the beautiful Hive community. Today I want to share with you a little bit about the last weeks of the year 2021.
ESPAÑOL
Para iniciar desde el 15 al 18 de diciembre cumplen mi hermano, dos primos y un tío, por lo cuales fueron días de celebración continua. Le realicé unos panquecitos de zanahoria (que le encantan) a mi hermano y le organizamos una reunión sorpresa y la pasó genial.
Mi tío también cumplió años y le hice una torta a su gusto (sencilla y sin tanto dulce) hice un ponqué de vainilla y le encantó. Ese día también disfrutamos bastante. Mis primos no viven en la misma ciudad y por eso no celebramos con ellos.
Mis padres y yo queríamos hacer algo distinto, estamos algo aburridos de sacar el arbolito y ponerle los mismos adornos y quisimos hacer algo distinto. Si sacamos el arbolito pero solo la parte de arriba e hicimos un mini arbolito, con una decoración realizada a mano por mi mami @mercemaizo que le encantan las manualidades.
El proceso fue interesante, mi mamá se esforzó un montón, ella quería hacer algo alusivo a nuestra familia ya que la mayoría viven lejos y siempre están presentes nuestros corazones como dice ella.
Para seguir con mi travesía navideña yo estaba antojada de hacer hallacas (comida navideña venezolana) en mi casa, ya que teníamos varios años que no haciamos y me emocionaba participar en el proceso y por supuesto degustarlas jajaja. Creo que lo más agotador de lo que ha sido diciembre fue hacer hallacas, pero quedaron riquísimas justo como nos gustan.
Hicimos las hallacas en dos días, un día para picar el aliño, las carnes, hacer el guiso y seleccionar las hojas, ese día nos dormimos a las 5:30 am, mientras se cocinaba el guiso (bueno mis padres, yo me dormí antes jaja). Y el siguiente día (23 de diciembre) hicimos fue hacer la masa, aceitar las hojas y empezar a preparar la hallaca como tal.
El día 24 no tomé muchas fotos, ese día fue de limpiar la casa y arreglarnos para esperar a las 12 para celebrar la navidad y ver a mis sobrinos abrir sus regalos
Fueron días muy movidos, en familia, llenos de alegría y mucho amor. Deseo que hayan pasado una bonita navidad y que todos sus deseos se cumplan.

To start with, from December 15 to 18, my brother, two cousins and an uncle had their birthdays, so they were days of continuous celebration. I made some carrot pancakes (which he loves) for my brother and we organized a surprise gathering for him and he had a great time.
My uncle also had a birthday and I made him a cake to his liking (simple and not so sweet) I made a vanilla cake and he loved it. We also had a great time that day. My cousins don't live in the same city so we didn't celebrate with them.
My parents and I wanted to do something different, we are a little bored of taking out the tree and putting the same ornaments on it and we wanted to do something different. Yes we took out the tree but only the top part and made a mini tree, with a handmade decoration by my mommy @mercemaizo who loves crafts.
The process was interesting, my mom made a lot of effort, she wanted to do something allusive to our family since most of them live far away and our hearts are always present as she says.
To continue with my Christmas journey I was eager to make hallacas (Venezuelan Christmas food) in my house since we hadn't made them for several years and I was excited to participate in the process and of course taste them hahaha. I think the most exhausting part of December was making hallacas, but they were delicious, just the way we like them.
We made the hallacas in two days, one day to chop the dressing, meats, make the stew and select the leaves, that day we fell asleep at 5:30 am, while the stew was cooking (well my parents, I fell asleep before haha). And the next day (December 23) we made the dough, oiled the leaves and started preparing the hallaca as such.
On the 24th I didn't take many pictures, that day was all about cleaning the house and getting ready to wait for 12 o'clock to celebrate Christmas and see my nephews and nieces open their presents.
They were very busy days, with the family, full of joy and lots of love. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that all your wishes come true.
