Hello friends, how are you? I hope you are very well, today I want to tell you about the "grito del carnaval", which is a celebration to start the carnival in Cocorote.
Hola amigos, ¿cómo están? Espero se encuentren muy bien, el día de hoy quiero contarles acerca del grito del carnaval, el cual es una celebración para dar inicio al carnaval en Cocorote.
This celebration was held today through a caravan, the truth, I did not know very well how it was going to be celebrated, I had only seen advertising where it said that the cry of the carnival was at 2 PM in the streets of Cocorote, and as we were here visiting my aunt, I told my boyfriend "let's welcome the carnival", then we decided to get dressed up and go for a walk. We headed towards the square, that's where most of the people are, where we waited for about an hour, but well, as I was with an excellent company, it went by super fast.
Esta celebración fue realizada el día de hoy mediante una caravana, la verdad, yo no sabía muy bien cómo iba a celebrarse, solo había visto publicidad donde decía que el grito del carnaval era a las 2 PM en las calles de Cocorote, y como estábamos por aquí visitando a mi tía, le dije a mi novio “vamos a darle la bienvenida al carnaval”, entonces decidimos arreglarnos y partir a caminar. Nos dirigimos hacia la plaza, allí era donde está gran parte de la gente, dónde esperamos aproximadamente como una hora, pero bueno, como estaba con una excelente compañía, se me pasó súper rápido.
The caravan was headed by motorcycles, and then there was a van with the renowned actress Dora Mozzone who was crowned as the queen of Tik Tok, after them were all the candidates of the mini reign with all their people supporting them, many were accompanied by a vehicle with music which made the atmosphere more cheerful, plus the candidates were throwing candy, so we were all happy eating strawberry candy while watching the caravan.
La caravana iba encabezada por unas motos, y seguidamente iba una camioneta con la reconocida actriz Dora Mozzone que fue coronada como la reina de Tik Tok, luego de ellos iban todas las candidatas del mini reinado con toda su gente apoyándolas, a muchas las acompaño un vehículo con música el cual hacia que hubiese un ambiente más alegre, además las candidatas estaban lanzando caramelos, así que todos estábamos felices comiendo caramelos de fresa mientras veíamos la caravana.
After we saw all the candidates pass by we decided to go back, but before we got home we stumbled upon a place where they sell delicious ice cream and of course we couldn't resist the temptation to eat some.
Después que vimos pasar a todas las candidatas decidimos regresar, pero antes de llegar a casa nos tropezamos con un lugar donde venden una ricos helados y por supuesto que no resistimos la tentación de comernos unos.
In particular I have always liked the carnivals, since I was a little girl I always dressed up to attend the parades, it was very exciting, I am very happy because this year the carnivals will be held again so that all that joy will return to the people.
En particular siempre me han gustado los carnavales, desde chiquita siempre me disfrazaba para asistir a los desfiles, era muy emocionante, estoy muy feliz porque este año se van a volver a realizar los carnavales para que vuelva toda esa alegría al pueblo.
