💕Hola mi linda comunidad 💕
💕Hello my beautiful community 💕
Yesterday (February 15) I was celebrating my 22nd birthday, something that as always fills me with excitement and joy, because although I never say it, for me, birthdays are one of the most special dates that can exist, therefore I take any birthday as something important even more my own🤭 So as always I will tell you a little of how my day was, I hope you have fun reading it as much as I enjoyed it.
I started my day very early (5:30am) because my younger brother had to go to school, so I had to help him with his breakfast and other little things... The most outstanding part of this start is that there were only two of us at home: my brother and me... And he forgot my birthday 🤣 so while he was having breakfast I was on the other side of the table looking at him with all my hatred because he hadn't congratulated me; as they say: "If looks could kill..." I was poisoning him. At one point he realized my look and subsequently his mistake, then he did the best thing he knows how to do, finish off his blunder, so he just looked at me and said: "Oh, by the way, Happy Birthday", closed the door and went to school.... You can imagine my "am I laughing or did he kill him?" face. In the end I decided to laugh and go to sleep again, because that was what I wanted to do the most.
I had some great moments of peace sleeping, until my mom came home from work and decided to wake me up to congratulate me, after that, as usual we talked about our day having a coffee, she telling me how her shift went (my mom is a nurse) and me telling how it went at home with my brother (I'm just watching online classes). Then I remembered that I had to accompany my best friend from childhood to solve a problem he had with the university (or that was the excuse he gave me to go out) so I decided to go and fix myself up a bit, because I suspected he would give me some kind of surprise and I didn't want to look bad.
Once I was ready, I went to look for my friend, and we went directly to the university to solve his problem, it really didn't take us more than 15 minutes. After that Jesus decided to tell me the truth and tell me that we had really gone for my surprise and that the stop at the university was necessary, but not the reason for leaving. So we walked a little more, while I kept asking about my surprise, until we finally arrived at our destination, "churro mania". For those who are from Venezuela, you will understand my love for the place, and for the foreigner, dear friend, they sell the most divine churros you will ever taste 🤭 (If you don't know what a churro is, ask Google, so you will understand better). Anyway, the thing here is that "WE WERE IN CHURRO MANIAAA". The bad news is that we arrived too early and the place would be open at 12, just at noon and it was 10 in the morning 🥴 What would Jesus and I do during those two hours?..... Because dear friends, I wasn't leaving there without my churros and I was very sure about it hahaha.
So we decided to go for a walk around the rest of the place, because Churro Mania is in the middle of the Boulevard, and right in front of a beach, this place is called "Paseo de la cruz y el Mar" although the locals call it Paseo Colón. And just like that, we decided to walk, talk and enjoy how nice it is to have the sea nearby.
At one point in our wait, my dear friend and I decided to look on Pinterest for photo ideas to imitate, and thus have diversity, since both of us belonging to Hive, we are always in that constant use of pretty pictures for our posts.
Another surprise this day brought me was to see my dear friend María José, from whom I was a little distant lately due to the difference in our schedules. Even so, my friend took the time to come to see me at the Paseo, something that touched my heart, not to mention that she brought a precious (and useful) detail: a set of cologne and cream, something she knows I love, because she herself created my obsession of having a thousand and one colognes and splashes at home.
After that, we checked our watches and realized that the time had flown by and it was a little after 12 o'clock and we could go get my longed-for churros. So we walked back to Churro Mania, went inside and it was time for fun. Enjoying the sweets they offer here. Obviously Jesus took his role as photographer very seriously, so between laughs and games we enjoyed having the place all to ourselves. Although I have a confession to make, out of 10 churritos, I only ate about 4 hahahaha, the rest went home with me, because I couldn't eat all that candy in one moment.
Once we finished at Churro Mania, we went to buy a couple of things that Jesus needed for the next birthday of one of his nephews, in this purchase we lasted a thousand hours because my friend is just as indecisive as me and more when it comes to decorations. But I laughed a lot during all this shopping, in all our madness I really don't think we took pictures at this moment (I apologize) but well, it's the thought that counts.
After that we made one last stop, and it was for me to buy a couple of soft drinks that we would use later to cut my birthday cake. Important facts: It was already around 4 in the afternoon when we arrived to where I would buy the refreshments and we had left since about 10 in the morning, so a thousand hours had passed and I could not take it anymore, in a moment of complaint Jesus took the opportunity to capture the moment and believe me it was one of my favorite photos so far.
Once back home, I decided to have lunch, take a bath and get ready. And while I was getting ready, Jesus and my mom decorated the place where the cake would be with balloons and other stuff. Now I just have to show you the final pictures because I didn't take any pictures of the process (Sorry, friends).
At the end another great friend arrived, after his 12 hours of work, he decided to come to see me and spend the rest of the day with me. We went to get something to eat, bought some ice for our drinks and went back to my house to take pictures with each other. Remember my brother, the one who forgot my birthday? hahaha there are pictures with him too. I know he's clueless (I'm the same way), I just like to be dramatic.
By the time I realized it was almost 12 o'clock so we decided to cut my cake and sing "Happy Birthday" at the top of our lungs. Something else that happened here was that my super friend, who arrived last, decided that stuffing my face with cake after singing "Happy Birthday" would be fun? And it was
At the end of the day I feel like it wasn't about the quantity of people that were with me, it was about the quality of the people that were there. I had such a fun day and laughed so much doing such normal things, anyone would think I had a full day at Disney. Remember other posts where I told you that true friendships are the most important thing? Believe me, yesterday more than ever, I understood how right I was. Another thing before I go, yes there were decent pictures of my birthday, but believe me the ones I shared with you were the most unexpected and the ones that turned out to be my favorites. Kisses to all of you. If you made it this far:
