Hola amigos de HIVE soy Manuel Alejandro
Rodríguez Martin, nací en la ciudad de Pinar del Rio, tengo 41 años. Mis padres se llaman Manuel Antonio periodista de profesión y mi madre Hilma Martín, profesora de español. actualmente jubilada.

Desde niño mis padres pensaban que yo continuaría con el periodismo ò quizás la maestría, pero no fue hasta mi adolescencia que me decidí por la medicina. Pues sí, y pensar que en mi familia nadie estaba vinculado con la salud, ya sea como doctor, licenciado o tecnólogo, eso me dio un poco de miedo; pero no por eso cambie de idea.

Rodríguez Martin, I was born in the city of Pinar del Rio, I am 41 years old. My parents are Manuel Antonio, a journalist by profession, and my mother Hilma Martin, a Spanish teacher, now retired.

Well yes, and to think that in my family no one was linked to health, either as a doctor, graduate or technologist, that gave me a little scared; but not for that reason I changed my mind.

En ese momento me enfoque mas en el estudio apoyados por mis padres que se adaptaron a la idea de ser médico, aunque fue un poco difícil.Ya al terminar el servicio comencé una nueva etapa de la vida como estudiante.

Empecé en la universidad de Ciencias medica Dtor: Ernesto Guevara de la Serna en la especialidad de medicina que antiguamente se conocía como Facultad de Ciencias Médicas donde tuve que cambiar mi estilo de estudio y entender que dos horas no son suficientes en esta rama , se necesita mucho mas , ocupo muchas horas de sueños, de salidas que no pudieron ser para lograr mi objetivo.

En esa etapa de estudiante recuerdo mi sexto año de la carrera que fui a trabajar en el municipio Sandino por los escases de profesionales que había en ese momento, Fue una experiencia bonita y difícil, adaptarse a estar lejos de casa, el transporte y estudiar en otras condiciones. Ya al graduarme fui ubicado mas cerca de la ciudad en el municipio Consolación del Sur. Que decir de Consolación un pueblo agradecido, educado y noble.

No estuve mucho tiempo ahí, fui reconocido por mi trabajo y cumplí mi primera misión en el exterior, específicamente en Venezuela, la tierra de Chávez. Fue único esa experiencia otra cultura, otra forma de llevar la vida su gente su lenguaje, Allí estuve 3 largos años lejos de mi familia participando en jornadas de salud conferencias en conjunto con el sistema de salud bolivariano y llevando salud y ayuda a todos los rincones de los cerros, pero la mayor satisfacción es llegar a Cuba con el deber cumplido, recibir ese diploma que ratifica que he concluido mi trabajo con buenos resultados.

It was a unique experience, another culture, another way of life, its people, its language. I was there for 3 long years far from my family, participating in health conferences in conjunction with the Bolivarian health system and taking health and help to all the corners of the hills, but the greatest satisfaction is to arrive in Cuba with my duty fulfilled, to receive that diploma that ratifies that I have concluded my work with good results.

No estuve mucho tiempo ahí, fui reconocido por mi
trabajo y cumplí mi primera misión en el exterior, específicamente en Venezuela, la tierra de Chávez. Fue único esa experiencia otra cultura, otra forma de llevar la vida su gente su lenguaje, allí estuve 3 largos años lejos de mi familia participando en jornadas de salud conferencias en conjunto con el sistema de salud bolivariano y llevando salud y ayuda a todos los rincones de los cerros, pero la mayor satisfacción es llegar a Cuba con el deber cumplido, recibir ese diploma que ratifica que he concluido mi trabajo es gratificante.

Al llegar a Cuba continué mi superación llegando a ser medico general integral, para posteriormente cumplir con otra nueva tarea esta vez en Brasil donde fue un giro de 360 grados en comparación con Venezuela, porque el trato, el lenguaje, recuerdo que tuvimos varias semanas de preparación en la UCCM en la Habana junto a profesores brasileños. Fue una experiencia bonita monte canoas, cruce ríos para llegar a personas que no podían caminar para llegar al centro de salud más cercano.

It was a beautiful experience riding canoes, crossing rivers to reach people who could not walk to get to the nearest health center.

Ya al retornar a mi patria fue algo fuera de lo previsto porque la situación política de Brasil con los galenos cubanos en algunos lugares no éramos reconocidos y entonces decidimos retornar. Fue impactante mi llegada a cuba porque fui recibido por las máximas autoridades del país , pero lo más bonito fue el recibimiento que hicieron en nuestra provincia y en mi barrio , no pensé que fuera a suceder así y después comencé otra etapa de superación.

Aproveché la oportunidad de estudiar una segunda especialidad y lo hice inclinándome por la Nefrología, que resultó ser muy provechosa por todos los conocimientos que me aporto, porque se realizan otras técnicas debes aprender a trabajar con equipos como dializadores , riñones artificiales o colocar catéter para salvarle la vida a los pacientes .

Returning to my homeland was something out of the ordinary because the political situation in Brazil with Cuban doctors in some places we were not recognized and so we decided to return. My arrival in Cuba was shocking because I was received by the highest authorities of the country, but the most beautiful thing was the welcome in our province and in my neighborhood, I did not think it would happen like that and then I started another stage of improvement.

I took the opportunity to study a second specialty and I did it leaning towards Nephrology, which turned out to be very profitable for all the knowledge it brought me, because other techniques are performed you must learn to work with equipment such as dialyzers, artificial kidneys or place catheter to save the lives of patients.

Para orgullo propio tengo dos hijos que aún no sé si seguirán mis pasos, el mayor de 16 años estudia en el preuniversitario Federico Engels y el menor aun comienza a experimentar ese tiempo de estudiar con solo 7 años cursa el segundo grado en la escuela Salvador González Delgado. Mi esposa Licenciada en Enfermería trabaja en el Hospital Abel Santamaria Cuadrado junto conmigo y es un eslabón fundamental para el logro de todos los proyectos trazados junto a mis padres.

Conoci a Hive a través de un amigo @eduardo900613 , el cual me propuso adentrarme conocer e interactuar con otros creadores.
