Es ist Mitte Oktober - dementsprechend sind wir bereits in der Halloween-Saison und da lohnt ein Blick nach Creedmoor. Weitere News betreffen die Halloween Aktionen von Upland, das Ergebnis des Sparklet-Votings, die Enthüllung der Totems des 3. Chapters, neue Aktionen für Block Explorer Shop Betreiber, sowie einen neuen Game-Development Wettbewerb. Zudem gab es das Overdrive Race Finale, einen weiteren NFLPA Bundle Sale, die Stock Car Pro Series Car Pässe können gegen die Autos eingetauscht werden und ein neuer Upland Player Podcast ist auch verfügbar.

Get ready for Halloween!

It's mid-October - so we're already in the Halloween season and it's worth taking a look at Creedmoor. Further news concerns Upland's Halloween promotions, the result of the Sparklet voting, the reveal of the Chapter 3 totems, new promotions for Block Explorer shop operators, and a brand new game development competition. In addition there was the Overdrive Race Finale, another NFLPA Bundle Sale, the Stock Car Pro Series Car Passes can be exchanged for the cars and a new Upland Player Podcast is also available.

Creedmore - the creepy Halloween Node

• Der berühmte Halloween-Hotspot schlechthin in Upland ist rund um das Creedmoor Psychiatric Centre in Queens entstanden und später auf ganz Bellerose ausgedehnt worden.
• Wie bereits im vergangenen Jahr wird dort auch heuer wieder das Creedmore Spooktacular Rennen veranstaltet, bei dem es spektakuläre Preise zu gewinnen gibt. Das Event hat einen karitativen Hintergrund - die begehrten Startplätze des Rennens können ersteigert werden. Alle diesbezüglichen Einnahmen kommen dem Child Mind Institute zu Gute.
• Neben dem tollen Charity-Rennevent geht es in diesem Jahr in Creedmoore auch darum, den Halloween Dekorations Wettbewerb zu gewinnen und zusätzlich den ersten Platz in der Node-Wertung des Monats zu erreichen. Dafür wird natürlich eine rege Mitwirkung der Community benötigt. Helfen kann, wer etwa die Heimatadresse in Upland nach Creedmore verlegt, wer neue Gebäude fertig stellt und wer möglichst alles dem Halloween-Motto entsprechend dekoriert. Wer für die Verlegung der Heimatadresse noch ein Grundstück sucht, sollte unbedingt zu den Node-Betreibern via X oder auf Discord Kontakt aufnehmen.

Halloween 2023 Bundle Sale

• Die Halloween-Bundles beinhalten 2 NFTs - einen Block Explorer und ein zusätzliches Item - entweder ein Map Asset oder ein Wearable der jeweiligen Halloween-Serie. Insgesamt gibt es 8 unterschiedliche Block Explorer, ebensoviele Map Assets und 7 Wearables.
• Die Registrierung für den Bundle Sale beginnt am Sonntag, 15. Oktober um 8 AM PT (MESZ +9). Der Verkauf startet dann am Montag, 16. Oktober um 9 AM PT (MESZ +9).
• Die Halloween Season läuft seit 10. Oktober und dauert bis zum 8. November.

Halloween Wearables Challenge

• Im Rahmen des saisonalen Wettbewerbs gilt es Punkte durch das Erledigen spezifische Aufgaben zu sammeln. Es ist wichtig, sich zunächst für die Challenge zu registrieren, damit das Erledigen der einzelnen Aufgaben zählt. Die Registrierung kann im gesamten Zeitraum der Challenge erfolgen.

Das Sparklet Voting Ergebnis steht fest!

• Der seitens Upland umsichtig vorbereitete Vorschlag, Sparklet als Krypto-Token einzuführen, wurde von der Community mit großer Mehrheit angenommen. 87,25% der über 4.300 Teilnehmer an dieser Wahl haben sich für die Umsetzung des im Sparklet White Paper an die Community herangetragenen Vorschlags ausgesprochen. Damit wurde der Auftrag erteilt, die weiteren Schritte einzuleiten, um Sparklet als ERC-20 Utility Token zu lancieren. Sparklet wird extern handelbar sein, nach Upland importiert werden können und im Game als Spark nutzbar sein. Ebenso wird Spark aus Upland heraus portiert werden können und dann als Sparklet zu Verfügung stehen. Die Umsetzung wird einige Zeit in Anspruch nehmen.

• Im Rahmen der sogenannten Ultimate Metaventure Wholesale Extravaganza wurden neue spezielle Blockexplorer präsentiert. Das Angebot konnten nur Block Explorer Shop Besitzer nutzen und bietet eine Ertragschance für alle, die den guasi kostenlosen Block Explorer dann in ihren Shops weiterverkaufen. In den Sale kamen 4 unterschiedliche Block Explorer (2x100 Mints & 2x300 Mints).

Mini Game Competition

• Upland veranstaltet einen Wettbewerb, um Spieler dazu zu animieren, einfach zu spielende Fungames in Upland anzubieten. Dotiert ist der Wettbewerb mit 1 Mio UPX, was wertmäßig 1.000 USD entspricht. Es darf sich dabei lediglich um Geschicklichkeitsspiele handeln. Glücksspiele und Casinogames sind nicht zugelassen, dafür dürfen auch bereits vorabentwickelte Open-Source Games verwendet und entsprechend der Wettbewerbsvorgaben adaptiert werden.

• Am Freitag den 13. ging das Finale des Upland Overdrive Rennens üner die Bühne. Die jeweils besten 6 Fahrer der Car-Series S1, S2 und S4 wetteiferten um die Top Positionen. Organisiert wurde das Event von der Upland Racing League. Das Video des Finales ist weiter unten eingebettet. Ich bin übrigens 5. im Qualifying und damit einer der Finalisten im Bewerb für die S1 Cars gewesen und habe schlußendlich den 4. Platz erreicht. Creedmore - the Creepy Halloween Node

• The famous Halloween hotspot par excellence in Upland has emerged around the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center in Queens and later expanded to include all of Bellerose.
• Like last year, the Creedmore Spooktacular race will take place again this year, with spectacular prizes to be won. The event has a charitable background - the coveted starting places in the race are auctioned off. All proceeds from this will benefit the Child Mind Institute.
• In addition to the great charity racing event, this year in Creedmoore it's also about winning the Halloween decoration competition and also achieving first place in the node ranking of the month. Of course, this requires active participation from the community. You can help by relocate your home address to Creedmore, building houses and decorating everything according to the Halloween theme. If you are still looking for a property to relocate your home address, you should definitely contact the node operators via X or on Discord.

Halloween 2023 Bundle Sale

• The Halloween bundles include 2 NFTs - a Block Explorer and an additional item - either a map asset or a wearable from the respective Halloween series. In total there are 8 different block explorers, as many map assets and 7 wearables.
• Registration for the Bundle Sale begins on Sunday, October 15th at 8 AM PT (CEST +9). The sale will then start on Monday, October 16th at 9 AM PT (CEST +9).

Halloween Wearables Challenge

• As part of the seasonal competition, points need to be collected by completing specific tasks. It is important to register for the challenge first so that completing each task counts. Registration can take place throughout the entire challenge period.

The Sparklet Voting result has been determined!

• Upland's carefully prepared proposal to introduce Sparklet as a crypto token was accepted by the community with a large majority. 87.25% of the over 4,300 participants in this election voted in favor of implementing the suggestion presented to the community in the Sparklet White Paper. The order was thus given to initiate the further steps to launch Sparklet as an ERC-20 utility token. Sparklet will be tradable externally, importable into Upland, and usable in-game as Spark. Spark will also be able to be ported out of Upland and will then be available as Sparklet. In any case, the implementation will take some time.

• New special block explorers were presented as part of the so-called Ultimate Metaventure Wholesale Extravaganza. Only Block Explorer shop owners could take advantage of the offer and offers a profit opportunity for everyone who then resells the free Block Explorer in their shops. 4 different Block Explorers went on sale (2x100 Mints & 2x300 Mints).

Mini Game Competition

• Upland is running a competition to encourage players to offer easy-to-play fun games in Upland. The competition is endowed with 1 million UPX, which is worth 1,000 USD. They just have to be games of skill. Gambling and casino games are not permitted; pre-developed open source games may also be used and adapted in accordance with the competition requirements.

• On Friday the 13th the finale of the Upland Overdrive race took place. The best 6 drivers from the Car Series S1, S2 and S4 vied for the top positions. The event was organized by the Upland Racing League. Video of the finale is embedded below. By the way, I came 5th in qualifying and was one of the finalists in the S1 Cars competition and ultimately achieved 4th place.
