MISTY MORNING ON THE ROAD TO SHISHAN

I spent some time driving with no particular destination in mind early this morning after buying two donuts and a loaf of fresh bread in the only open bakery in my hometown. I was cruising around for about half an hour just for the joy of driving a car and listening to an obscure prog rock album I downloaded from YouTube last night.

I drove around my hometown, I reached the village of Liznjan and passed right through it, and I didn't see anything that could make me stop to take a photograph or two before continuing my aimless journey, but ...

... but a few minutes later, a kilometer or two from the village of Shishan, the mist, and the rising sun created a breathtaking scene that made me slow down and park my car by the side of the road.

Here you can see the friend who was there with me standing in the field across the road.

The golden light was especially intense along the eastern horizon.

Here you can see the silk produced by spiders or caterpillars covered with morning dew.

The mist created a nice background for portraiting the small olive trees.

Oh, I almost forgot ...

... this is the music I was listening to while driving and taking the photographs presented in today's post. The windows of my car parked by the side of the road were open so I was enjoying the morning scenery enhanced by a soundtrack that gave a cinematic feel to the entire experience.
