Let's talk about some skin care tips and some skin care mistakes today.
First of all, I am not a skin specialist. So I would not advise a doctor or skin specialist. I'll tell you what I've experienced and learned from my skincare journey. At first, I used to make many mistakes which I have corrected now.
Some Skin Care Tips:
There are 4 basic steps for skin care. A cleanser, a moisturizer, a sunscreen, and a cleansing oil or cleansing balm or micellar water.
When we apply sunscreen, our skin may not be clean at all. Because now most sunscreens are water resistant or companies claim that the sunscreens are waterproof. When I apply and reapply waterproof sunscreen throughout the day, it tends to clog up after us. So it is necessary to have a double cleanser in our night skincare routine.
We must apply sunscreen properly. Sunscreen should be reapplied after 3 or 4 hours. Because there is no such sunscreen available in the market which protects us from the sun all day long.
If you use exfoliators, you should also apply sunscreen at home. Because sunlight (UVA and UVB rays) enters the room in the house. Sunscreen prevents premature aging, and sunburn.
Always moisturize the face after washing. And apply moisturizer on your damp skin.
Bed sheets and pillow covers should be kept clean at all times. It is better if you can change the pillow covers after 3 days.
Please stop using lemon, sugar, and soda on your face. This is your skin, not any food or kitchen.
Don't pop your pimples. It can be harmful to your skin. This can lead to infection.
Always clean your hands well before applying any skin care product.
Drink more and more water. Try to keep yourself hydrated from the inside.
There is no need to use too many products to keep the skin healthy and fresh. Use only what your skin needs.
Do not use many new products at once. After using a new product, give it time to suit your skin (At least 7 to 15 days).
It's a myth that if your skin is oily, you don't need a moisturizer. Everyone's skin needs moisturizer. But you have to select it according to your skin.
Don't buy the product suddenly after seeing someone's good review. If you see it, you will understand and then decide whether to buy it or not. Before buying the product check whether it is according to your skin type. Then check its ingredients. Then see the good and bad reviews. Then you can buy it.
Be sure to patch tests before using a skincare product. If you don't know what a patch test is then please google it.
Keep fingernails clean at all times. Rather, I would say to keep fingernails short at all times. But if you want to keep them long then keep them clean all the time and don't touch your face repeatedly.
Those with very dry skin can use hydrating lotion or serum or tone. Because dehydrated skin aging is seen more.
Keep your skincare routine as simple as possible.
Avoid doing anything too harsh on the skin. Many people think that the skin will be better if they do daily scrubbing. But it is their big mistake. Because of this, their skin shows signs of aging more quickly.
This is my last tip for today. Love yourself!! No one's skin is perfect. Everyone has some imperfections. We care for the skin just for the love of ourselves. We love to take care of ourselves so we take care of our skin. It should not be forgotten.
I will share my skincare journey in another blog. There I will tell you about some of the ingredients and more skin care tips that I know. I hope you like my blog! Thank you!!
