A One Month Hell Experience

There are a lot of things that make life comfortable, such as food, clothing, where to sleep, job, power supply and so on.

Of course, not all of them are basic, as even if they are taken out of the picture, we can still survive but it won't be easy.

Recently, power supply has become one of the most important things in our society. Ever since most of our activities moved into the digital world, electricity became basic.

Some people's work, friends and life is entirely online. Apart from that, we need electricity for some of our day to day activities like: cooking, ironing, and to watch television.

Another important thing is cooking gas. The world has been evolving, the method of cooking has also upgraded. Most people prefer using gas to cook nowadays to firewood and charcoal. It is very fast, it reduces the risk of being exposed to smoke and it saves time.

Water is another one that no one can do without. In fact, due to its relevance, people always say “water is life.” The place of water can not be overlooked.

It is versatile in nature, it can be used for cooking, drinking, bathing, building, name it. Among the things we consume, water is one thing we can not do without.

Imagine I wake up one day and these three things are gone for a month. Honestly, I will first take the information as a joke and laugh over it because how the hell are we going to survive?

For gas and electricity, I can manage to survive without them because there can be other alternatives.

I can use solar panels or generators to make power available to charge any of my gadgets that need charging.

For gas, there are other alternatives, we can use fire woods or charcoal, although that would put a lot of pressure on trees and deforestation would be on the increase which is not going to be good.

These two: electricity and gas can be replaced but water is natural, once it is gone, I doubt if that is anything that can replace it.

I don't think I can survive without water. How do I cook, how do I bathe, how do I wash?

It is not going to be funny. This is why it is advised that we don't take anything provided by nature for granted.

There was a particular time we had a power challenge for months. Our transformer exploded but we survived it.

There were times I didn't use gas to cook for months and I was fine but I have never lived without water. For days, if it's one or two days, I can endure but for a month, It's not possible.

First of all, what I want to know is, is it just one source of water, like a borehole or every source of water that would be shut for a month?

If it's just one source, I don't mind, I can go for other alternatives, I can go to the stream, or well, whichever alternative is available but if it is all the sources, honestly I can't cope.

Whether in school or at home, if water is not available, I don't have any option rather than to relocate. I can't live where there is no water. It's not only going to make me look miserable physically but it will pose a threat to my health.
