What an awesome trip! Did you find much gold while you were panning? That river is beautiful, what a great place for a few days of adventure. You are braver than I would have been with the old mine, even hard rock gives way at times!
I understand how frustrating to find trash so far into the wilderness. Some people are just jerks...

It was a blast for sure! I only found a few small flakes while panning, but honestly I really didn't try to hard. This trip was more about giving my buddies a tour of the canyon. But I've been prospecting this canyon for 12 years now and I've found many ounces of gold even including some nice nuggets! And yes, the trash is quite frustrating, especially that far out there, but I truly love this canyon and I will continue to do all I can to try to keep it clean.
