# We all use one another for our benefit_
This was an argument I had with a friend @blackavalon

Giving it deep thought, I have come to agree that as humans, we are all transactional in one way or the other.
A transactional relationship is based on reciprocity and needs.
In our feelings, in our acts, and even in every form of relationship we are in, be it family, friends, or lovers.

Everybody is in for something they wish to gain, not necessarily on the finance side, it could be attention, connections, influence, some kind of character you portray that attracts them to you, or the feeling you get for being with a certain person.
But what matters, is the value, or so I thought, as the situation unfold, I have come to understand, that people will choose themselves first no matter what, except those who are genuine with you, no, everyone will choose themselves first,
That's the nature of man, immediately what attracts them to you starts fading away, and their presence in your life will start fading away too
That brings me to question certain things,
Like, what then is the essence of creating and building relationships with your fellow human, when you know they are in for something, and they will jump out immediately if things aren't going well in their favor?

Well, for one
Humans are either a door or a wall, a bridge or a stumbling block, they can lead you to success or ruin you completely, they can act in your favor today and act against you tomorrow.
It's funny how your fellow human can smile with you today but snare at you the next,
And those who call themselves your friends are quick to spread your dirty laundry immediately after you guys have a fallout.

We hate to hear the word transaction in our relationships, but that is what is playing out, you expect your partner to reciprocate the kindness you did for them and when they don't get the memo, you tend to get angry and when an issue breakout, that's the time you call them out, which doesn't make sense, well to me, it doesn't.
It may not be spoken but there's always a trade.
Trying to grasp the most important part of human relationships I tried getting the views of others about this issue and some of the answers got me astonished, I will say

The core purpose of human existence is to help each other

this is a response I got from a friend as he tried to explain the ground on which we as humans are created to walk on, yes I agree with this but many people tend to take advantage of this and have to have taken it to an extreme.
While another said, Human relationships being transactional can be intentional or maybe destiny. For every relationship, there is a form of benefit, you should be able to gain something from the other party, and vice-versa, there should be an exchange of benefits.
Every human relationship should be moved by something and it's a flow (remember the circular flow of income right?, yes Microeconomic)

But people are taking advantage of this, always taking, but never giving, never ready to create an impact, So they must be a flow, if not, it becomes stuck, just like stagnant water, it's bad and dangerous, and it begets relationships in on expected benefit in return, creating toxic relationship here and there.

Let's be intentional with our relationships, and not go in disguise, because in the end, we use each other consciously or consciously, knowingly or unknowingly. Let's get to know people for who they are, and not attach it to what they are, you will be surprised by how establishing genuine relationships can create golden opportunities.

Let's be real because at the end
we are all here to give and take

Just like not all transactions are negative, so too are our interactions in a way. Your thoughts on every human interaction being a form of give and take were really thought-provoking this morning as I sipped my coffee, because it reminded me of themes of energy transference and how I believe that we are all here to serve others through the act of being our wonderful, unique selves.

Thanks a bunch for posting such an awesome post😊
