A #monochromemonday post, which was created by @old-guy-photos! Check out his latest post here!
If this image looks familiar... it should! Having chosen my main #thoughtfuldailypost graphic of "Cairns", I thought, "I can make one!". Maybe not quite as cool as my banner... but a decent try... right? I haven't made a #monochromemonday post, in some time. And as you know, I haven't really been very active on my own account. So thought I would try to get some proverbial "fresh air" if you will. This is one of the first contests I can remember when I joined the #teamusa Discord. So it is kind of like "going home" if you can feel my vibe. I think sometimes, we need to break our routine, and do something different that lets us remember we are still human. There are others that still take part in this contest... Here's one I found from @dandesign86; this was a great post for monochromemonday and he's a new fellow on my end, so sent him a follow! True Engagement if we just take a moment to look around... right? You can check out his latest post below!

I used this image back in 2019... on STEEMIT of course... I was trying to participate in the #ulog initiative by @surpassinggoogle and talked briefly about the passing of our dear friend @wolfhart. He battled cancer and it's like yesterday... still miss him. I always told him my spirit animal was a wolf, so it made sense that we connected. I also love the season of fall and watching the leaves coming down. Little did I know, this touching moment in life would even further be imprinted in my memory; I can't look at a leaf now, without thinking about Wolfhart... If you'd like to see that post, I will share the link below. I originally used Appics to upload the video, but they are still in the process of migrating to the TELOS blockchain, so I uploaded the video to YouTube and will add the link if you wish to view it. I mainly did this to source this photo...and that's enough.

I hadn't intended for this post to be an emotional one... Once I remembered using the leaf image in another post and wanted to source it properly... I had forgotten it was a post in tribute to Wolfharts's passing. Just goes to show; we never really know when it's going to be our time. So be sure to tell everyone how you feel... I hope you all had a good Monday... be sure to visit the folks I mentioned here, and of course...
What are you thoughtful for, today?

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. My Multiple Sclerosis makes it extremely hard to post... I started this at 7:30 AM my time, and I am just finishing up at almost 7:00 PM. It's worth it though... I hope you have found my #thoughtfuldailypost movement helpful...
Thank you, Wes.
This was a true food for thought and for a meaningful pause to FEEL the emotions that bubble up when there is a chance to flow free.
Being emotional and being able to feel is the most interesting human experience for our soul.
A true adventure.
Thank you for this perfect #thoughtfuldailypost !!
@lauralauze
Thank you for your kind words... I was raised with the understanding that men do and should cry. As I mentioned in my post, I hadn't intended to talk about the passing of our dear friend @wolfhart. But as I searched for a reference to that leaf photo I used year's ago... the pieces just fell in place.
All for a reason, as I always say. Hope your Monday was a pleasant one.
Love and light my friend.

Yes, happens to me too time after time,.. some unexpected triggers happen and sometimes certain intensity of grief bubbles up from the depths of memories.. and each time a little dosis of resolution / resignation / resignation settles in.. each time the sad grief turns into “saudade” grief, the warm beautiful nostalgic missing of the dear person who has gone before us.
This happens with my grief for my Mom. Each time it’s triggered - the sadness is less dense and less heavy.... and each time more peace and pure tenderness replaces the former feeling of total devastation.
The Life is helping us to heal the loss in small doses and gradually, with unexpected details that trigger memories ....
I can relate to your experience with the photo, that brought back the memories of your dear friend.
Huge hugs!!!
Nice shots and I will get over to Dans as well.

Tragic when we lose dear friends. It's like losing pieces of our selves, until there isn't much left.
Thanks for the beautiful monochromatic shots, and your thoughtful post.
RIP Wolfhart, and much !LUV to you Wes!

I recall ulog back in the steemit days. Seems like @surpassinggoogle is active again. Anyway, little things affects us in a lot of ways. Reminding us of sadness, happiness,love. Sometimes the sadness is just too much to bear and does not go away. We learn to live with it and continue on. Beautiful thought for the day my friend. Monochrome feels gloomy but beautiful in a lot of ways.
@mhel
So good to see you my friend. Yes... life is not always kind. Some days, it just down right sucks! But we've got to remember just how truly fortunate we are... and help others to realize they are not alone.
Monochrome can be taken differently, by each individual. I often remember, "hey... some people are colorblind", and it's in that moment I remember to be thankful that I don't suffer from that ailment.
I hope you are doing ok, and thanks again for visiting.
