LIFE AS A JOURNEY

Reminiscing on how life has been since I was a child , makes me feel there's more to life as a journey than it seem to be . Growing up as child I saw so many things I've always wished to grow up and partake of . As a child I didn't have anything to worry about, my parents made provision for everything I needed , I attended the best nursery school as at then. I knew something families that couldn't afford sending their kids to school not even afford 3 square meal , their mother's would have to hawk before they can feed .

Knowing how hard my dad worked to make ends meet , made I and my siblings feel like princes and princesses, it was rosy , even till the time of my Secondary school education, I had the best of it , not until I sat for JAMB , that was when it dawn on me that you could be brilliant and still not pass that examination cos it has nothing to do with how much your parents can afford or the best of schools you attended , to me I'll say is just by luck and grace of God . I kept trying for 3years before I could pass the examination, it's funny right 😂 I know but finally I got admission into the university, which made me leave my family cos it was far from home .

Life will throw so many challenges at you, how you manage it determins how you grow , if you manage it well it means growth but if you don't, it could take it backward than you can ever imagine. Life is full of thorns , there's a point to bleed 🩸 at each stage . I could remember some of my course mates who fought so hard to remain in school, some did minia jobs to remain in the system but they couldn't keep up with it , life happened to them and yes some died on the road through accident, dreams shattered, resources wasted , parents cried their eyes out , imagine how they must have felt loosing their children they've worked so hard to nurture .

Life seems unfair sometimes, working on the road you encounter situations that are heart breaking, you can't help but feel like it should have happened to someone else. I see hawkers , drivers ,beggers on the road everyday and I feel so bad for them why cos most of them didn't ask for that kind of life , it just happened, of course we still have the rich and wealthy who knows nothing about what am saying, they have everything they want and even more . Their children are schooling outside the country in one of the best schools, going on vacation as they wish . It doesn't make them better than those on the streets , life just happened to them .

Majority of these rich/ wealthy homes treats the poor or less privileged like trash , they treat them like they asked for the kind of life they're living, not knowing that tables turn. An average man who's doing everything to make his children's life better has hope , he believes the future will be better and of course if his children work hard , they can also be like the rich/wealthy . That's growth .

In life we should try to be fair to people we meet out there, nobody asked to be poor or less privileged, if you have something to share please do , treating them like they don't exist is mere wickedness. Even while my parents could afford every I wanted I still had friends their families could barely feed , I didn't stop being friends with them , I still talk to some of them till today and trust me they're doing well for themselves as we speak. Life is deeper than material and luxury things we enjoy as humans , a good done today could take your family places tomorrow.

In all you do as a human, be fair , be kind , think of how your actions will affect people around you before you act cos LIFE is too short , LIFE is unpredictable, anything and everything is possible.
