FROM FESTIVITIES TO CHALLENGES

In the wake of the new year, reality hit me hard, dispelling any notion that i might be dreaming. The beginning of 2024 didn't unfold as i had planned, thrusting me onto a rough path i never anticipated. Despite the unexpected turn of events, i recognized the importance of focusing on the healing processes that lay ahead.
Reflecting on the weeks preceding this unforeseen incident, i found solace in the festive season and holiday period, relishing the moments spent with family and friends. However, the demands of my work disrupted this joyous reprieve, as i was called upon to complete pending tasks last week. Reluctantly, i departed for work, acknowledging the necessity of earning a livelihood.
Upon reaching the workplace on January 3, 2024, my engagement with work began in earnest the following day. Little did i know that within the first five hours, a startling and unexplainable event would transpire.

This was when i started before the incident
A barb wire marked me, inflicting a significant cut on my right hand, resulting in a profuse flow of blood that i struggled to comprehend.

Engineer Layi, the site engineer, acted swiftly, producing a first aid box. Unfortunately, the severity of the injury exceeded their capabilities, prompting an urgent transfer to the nearest chemist shop in a bid to save my life.
The response at the chemist shop was immediate, stemming the blood flow and initiating the necessary treatment. The gravity of the situation necessitated stitches due to the depth of the cut.

After the procedure, i was advised to undergo a brief period of bed rest. Discharged later that evening with prescribed medications, i anticipated a return for a checkup on the fourth day.
Adapting to the circumstances, i, a right-handed individual, quickly transitioned to using my left hand in the aftermath of the incident. The wish for a speedy recovery echoed in my thoughts, driven by the eagerness to resume the activities i had temporarily set aside. The resilience to overcome the challenges brought about by this unexpected turn became a focal point, as i navigated through the healing process, eagerly anticipating the day i could reclaim a sense of normalcy.
