Hello, dear readers!
These past few days, I couldn't help but think about a recent encounter I had with an acquaintance. To my disappointment, I noticed that I was boring her. I couldn't help but compare myself to the way this acquaintance interacts with a mutual friend of ours and realize that our mutual friend is more valued. This mutual friend is more open, more engaging, and has a higher energy level, which doesn't necessarily define me.
At the same time, I realize that it greatly depends on the individuals we interact with. If the person drains your energy, doesn't give you room to breathe, or fails to acknowledge your need for peace, breaks, and introspection, it can be a real letdown. Furthermore, if you naturally lean towards being an introverted person, you may not be everyone's cup of tea, especially for extroverts.
So, am I boring? Perhaps yes, perhaps no... after all, it's not our sole responsibility to entertain others. Maybe I could sometimes express myself more outwardly, I admit... maybe I could engage in deeper conversations and avoid surface-level discussions - sometimes this reluctance stems from my desire not to open up too much.
In the end, it's important to be authentic and true to ourselves, even if it means not being the life of the party. Everyone has unique qualities, interests, and perspectives that make them interesting in their own way. Sometimes it can be helpful to explore new hobbies, engage in activities you enjoy, or spend time with people who share your interests. Self-perception can be influenced by various factors, and it's important to recognize and appreciate your own worth and individuality.
Thank you for reading, and until next time!

PS. I may not be the most captivating person in a live encounter, so why don't we grab a virtual coffee instead?

Yeah you've said it all "it's important to be authentic and true to ourselves, even if it means not being the life of the party"
I am glad that you resonated with it. Thank You for passing by! Best!

You confused me a bit with the dog metaphor, lol Thank You! 😚 Have a great end of the week! 🙌
