UNLOCKING OPPORTUNITIES

Someone recently said something that resonates well with me, he said that, one major life hack is for you to be useful, then progressing in life will get a little more easier and will happen effortlessly. A lot of times we say there are no opportunities anywhere but we fail to realize that opportunities don’t just happen, they are created and one of the easiest ways to create opportunities is by being useful as much as possible.

As humans, no matter how many we think we are and we think that might be the reason for lack of job opportunities around the world, trust me, it might be far from that because despite the so many people shouting lack of jobs, people still get jobs and they keep moving forward in life. And one thing that is common with these set of people is the fact that they have proven useful to themselves and to others and that is what most people want to see.

Whether we like it or not, a lot of people we have as friends today are there because they have found us useful to them in one way or another and vice versa. You will only find very few persons that will take someone who is of no use to be their friends. In fact, to some extent, if you are friends with someone and things keep getting harder for them, they may most likely want to cut ties with you because they believe that when one has a friend, most things should be going well.

So the solution to most aspects of our lives is be useful. Always make sure that there is something you can bring to the table, don’t come in empty handed because if you do, that’s one of the easiest ways to keep losing opportunities that might come your way. When you keep trying to accomplish something and things just don’t seem to be working fine, look inwardly and search for something you can do to be of use to either yourself and others or to others only.

Always be willing to learn anything you can learn, as they say, “no knowledge is lost”. I have seen and heard a lot of cases where some people finish a course in the university and graduated with really good grades but they never got to work professionally as that. Instead, due to a skill or something they’ve learned while studying, they were able to secure a job in something else.

So take learning very seriously because it is mostly when you get to learn that you start earning, I guess that’s why it is l-earning, hehe. Stop thinking that there is no opportunity anywhere, because there are thousands of opportunities everywhere and per adventure there isn’t, you can always create one for yourself and by so doing even creating for others as well.
