If we are to judge things based on how our lifespan is, we all want to hurry up instead of waiting for things to unfold knowing well that life is super unpredictable and no one knows when death will ring its bell.
We want to enjoy life and live as we have imagined. However, things won't go that way. Things don't always go the way we wish if not, I know many of us would have built castles in the air as imagined. I know places I would have been to and things I would have gotten in place by now if my thoughts could bring them forth. But, our actions are what we hope for because acting those things out alone doesn't bring us success. And this is why most of us are at this or that crossroad. Fully drained and tired on why the door keeps getting slammed in our faces.
Also, our actions alone can't prove success because we aren't alone in the world. There's a lot of life factors that would surface without any warning. Just like how Covid came and brought a lockdown. There are still some companies that haven't been able to keep running after everything that happened. Plans were canceled, and just when some people finally got a job or something that would help them financially, Covid came.
Mind you, this same Covid and lockdown happened to pave ways to many other people who never thought they could even hit the spotlight in some more years to come. Crazy, right? This is why we need to take one step at a time and not rush it. When you are in a hurry, try to wait and breathe, which is what brings me to "One Step At A Time" by Jordin Spark.
So when you get frustrated, don't let it take control of you. Breathe in and out calmly and take one step at a time. Just like a part of the music lyrics says;
It's like learning to fly or falling in love.
If I am to take the human life cycle, for instance, we need to crawl, stand, and walk before we could even think of flying. And that's how life is. Everything that will happen in our lifetime will happen when it is time for it to happen. So, before you let that frustration sink in, just take a step. Don't rush it.
Yeah, I know, and I feel it, too. Having to look at yourself, your life, and not seeing any difference. It is like others are moving while you are just there in stagnation. I know many of my friends who are married, not in the country again, living a better life, even those I am years older making waves, but that does not mean I am stagnant. No, I recognize those little changes in my life because I know that it is those little things that come together to make a bigger thing which will turn out to be the portal that leads to more biggest wins for me.
I recognize these because I am taking things one step at a time. I know I am in no competition with anyone on how to live my life because I am different and uniquely made for a reason. So, anyone who sees me as a competition can keep running. I don't know them, and I don't want to because my world and their worlds are different.
Anyone who has gotten to read my posts for some time now should have gotten the picture that I am a lone person. I love and appreciate alone time with myself. If I have my ways, I would prefer to stay off humans and just be alone in my world. There are so many things that can keep me busy, even without electronic gadgets. This is something I have done before, and it is very pleasing. There's so much in my head... my mind is just super buzzing, hehe.
This is why I do appreciate music, too. This post would not even come forth without the music aforementioned because I had something else in mind to write on. The lyrics are just a perfect fit. A great reminder to us all to not beat ourselves to a pulp because this person or that person has it more at their age than we do. That thought is very harmful and may lead one to a phase in life where we'd weep endlessly and wish we could turn back the hands of time.
