Thoughtfulness is a very intentional practice, it takes self-awareness to be a very thoughtful person.

Being a sensitive person, one thing that has helped me stay thoughtful in words and deeds is the golden rule which says "do unto others what you want them to do to you", if I don't want to be treated in an Ill-mannered way, I surely wouldn't treat someone that way.

Another way I've strived to spread thoughtfulness in my life is treating myself exactly the way I want others to treat me, I show myself a little kindness, I adore myself, I love myself and I speak positivity of my life, visions and goals in life, I celebrate my little wins, share my what I'm grateful for on a daily basis ,because this is a reflection of how I want people to treat me too, so I set the pace and they follow.

This has led to a lot of positive outcome, as I have heard people admiring my ability to create happiness for myself, and my self-sufficiency.

Talking about spreading thoughtfulness while interacting with others, I am one who love to listen attentively to anyone expressing themselves, even if I have a different opinion, I do not interrupt them, this make them feel respected and heard and then I respectfully air my own view to them.

I recall a time a friend of my called me in the middle of the night asking if I have time, that she wanted to talk, to be honest, I was feeling very sleepy but I knew that would make her feel lighter, so I sacrificed my sleep to listen to her vent and rant, it did make her feel better, knowing she had someone who could listen to her attentively without judging her, after which I gave my two cent on the matter and we just laughed over everything through out the night.

I have also been a source of encouragement to my family and friends, I am good at cheering anyone around up, I love to push them beyond their limit and I love it when they do things they actually wouldn't have done on their own without a push from me. This has endeared many to me, they love being around me, for I stand for positive vibes.

Another way I strive to spread thoughtfulness, is my ability to commend people around me for their efforts and I give sincere compliment about their looks, attributes or quality which makes them feel better. I am also thoughtful in showing kindness, it takes nothing for me to open the door for the next person, and when I know I've wronged someone, I take the initiative to make peace and all of these have improved my han interaction and peaceful cohabitation.

We all can make the world a better place, it begins with you and I, in our effort to be intentional, in the way we practice mindfulness, in the way we spread kindness through the little things we do.
