Hi, friends!
Can you believe that there is only one manufacturer in that Rally3 category (four wheel drive, five speed sequential gearbox and bigger turbo restrictor which gives around 235bhp).
FIA decided to put a stamp on it's price and that car now costs 99.999€- I think that it's god that those cars can't cost a little fortune because only a rich privateers can compete now at the higher level.
If you want cheap rallying, it's not a problem. You can always buy or rent a cheap car and run it with your friends mechanics. But if you want to progress into the top of the sport and you have some talent, you need a budget of around 10m€.
Yeah, it is a big money but that's sport these days. There is a shortcut and that says that you are a new super talent who posts the top time just from the box and in a constant way.
Well, then will someone knock at your door or call your number and give you a shot. But if you know that current Junior World Rally Champion Sami Pajari didn't have a call from the big teams, then you know what to expect with that.
It is just hard to come into the top of the sport but that doesn't mean that you have to stop trying. Work, work and only work can bring you something special in the sport and if you believe, something will happen.
We will wait for this nee rally weapon and it will be interesting because I follow rallying for about 30 years and I never saw four wheel drive rally car from Renault.
