After doing a couple of errands I headed to the bars park as usual to complete my routine of the day, in this case I had to perform a routine of basics and some static linked to core strength (such as dragon flag, L sit, toes to bar etc). To tell you the truth there is no better exercise for the core as the dragon flag, which I highly recommend, this allows us to improve our front lever and other skills that require an anterior pelvic tilt when doing a lever or flag.
Also doing dragon flag does not have to be an extremely difficult or impossible task, there are different levels of adaptability so that we can start the exercise regardless of the level in which we find ourselves. We can do this exercise with the different existing progressions within calisthenics such as tucked, advanced tucked, half-lay, straddle half, straddle, one leg, among others.
On the other hand the L-sit is an isometric exercise easier to perform which helps us to train our abs and prepare them to perform dragon flag and other skills, I also recommend implementing the L-sit in our routines from time to time to preserve endurance and strenght in our workouts.
Without more to add I say goodbye to all of you, stay tuned for the next post, see you next time!
