Muchachos, hoy les comparto algo que me causó bastante gracia. Me puse a revisar la galería y me encontré con unas fotos de hace unos 7 u 8 meses, justo cuando apenas andaba "peleando" con el Back Lever Supino y el Touch de Back Lever, tratando de construir las bases para el tan deseado Hefesto.
Hello beautiful SWC community and all my fellow HIVE members, I hope you're all doing well. It's a pleasure to share my new post with you today, and I hope you enjoy it.
Guys, today I'm sharing something that made me laugh quite a bit. I was going through my photo gallery and found some pictures from about 7 or 8 months ago, right when I was just starting to struggle with the Back Lever Supine and the Back Lever Touch, trying to build the foundation for the much-desired Hefesto.

Lo más gracioso es recordar el ambiente de esos entrenamientos. El primer día todo comenzó como una broma entre los muchachos y yo: "Oye, si no te sale tal cosa, me pides la bendición". Para los que no sean de Venezuela, pedir la bendición es una tradición de mucho respeto hacia los mayores, pero en nuestro contexto de parque, era nuestra forma criolla de decir: "Soy tu padre en este estático". Esa competencia sana fue el motor de arranque.
The funniest thing is remembering the atmosphere of those training sessions. The first day it all started as a joke between the guys and me: "Hey, if you can't land this, ask for my blessing." For those who aren't from Venezuela, asking for a blessing is a tradition of great respect for elders, but in our park context, it was our local way of saying, "I'm your father on this static hold." That healthy competition was the starting point.

Volviendo a la rutina de aquel entonces, recuerdo que siempre iniciaba con Angelitos, un ejercicio que mantengo sagrado hasta el día de hoy. Pero después de eso, venía la tragedia: unos intentos lamentables de Pull Ups de Back.
En ese momento no contaba con ligas de resistencia, así que me tocaba intentarlo "a pelo". No podía hacer ni medio rango de movimiento, pero la terquedad me ganaba y seguía tirando intentos y muchas negativas hasta que más o menos salía algo.
Going back to my routine back then, I remember always starting with Angelitos, an exercise I still hold sacred to this day. But after that came the tragedy: some disastrous attempts at Back Pull-Ups.
At that time, I didn't have any resistance bands, so I had to try them "without them." I couldn't even do half a range of motion, but my stubbornness got the better of me, and I kept trying and doing many negatives until I finally managed something.

Hoy, viendo hacia atrás, estoy increíblemente orgulloso de ver un avance tan absurdo en tan poco tiempo. Lo que antes era imposible, ahora se ha transformado. Aunque me ha costado bastante, ya cuento con 5 buenas repeticiones de Pull Ups de Back. Actualmente, no busco crear tanta resistencia, ya que mi foco está en ganar fuerza bruta y calidad en el movimiento para el rpopio estatico y para el hefesto ya que van de la mano. Es increíble lo que la constancia (y las bromas entre amigos) pueden lograr tantas cosas.
Today, looking back, I'm incredibly proud to see such absurd progress in such a short time. What was once impossible has now been transformed. Although it's been quite a struggle, I can now do 5 solid repetitions of Back Pull-Ups. Currently, I'm not focused on building as much resistance, since my focus is on gaining raw strength and movement quality for the static pull-up and the hephaestus leg, as they go hand in hand. It's amazing what consistency (and a few jokes with friends) can achieve.
