Hola amigos de hive, para el tercer día del reto tocó en el parque nacional Henri Pittier entre el Edo. Aragua y el Edo. Carabobo; es el parque nacional más antiguo de Venezuela, creado originalmente en 1937 con el nombre de Rancho Grande por decreto del presidente Eleazar López Contreras. El parque fue rebautizado en 1953 con el nombre de Henri Pittier, insigne geógrafo, botánico y etnólogo suizo, quien llegó a Venezuela en 1917, clasificó más de 30 mil plantas en el país y se dedicó por muchos años al estudio de la flora y la fauna existente en el parque. Este parque nacional tiene el honor de haber iniciado la historia de los parques nacionales en Venezuela. Tiene una superficie de 107.800 hectáreas, ubicado en la zona norte del estado Aragua, comprende gran parte de las costas aragüeñas y de la zona montañosa del estado Carabobo, además colinda con el parque nacional San Esteban. Un dato curioso de dicho parque es que fue decretado parque nacional con el fin de preservar y conservar los ecosistemas, paisajes de montaña, flora, fauna, cuencas hidrográficas y estructuras histórico-culturales para brindar al visitante oportunidades para la investigación, la recreación y el turismo.
Hello hive friends, for the third day of the challenge we visited Henri Pittier National Park between Aragua and Carabobo states; it is the oldest national park in Venezuela,[1] originally created in 1937 with the name of Rancho Grande by decree of President Eleazar López Contreras. The park was renamed in 1953 after Henri Pittier, the famous Swiss geographer, botanist and ethnologist who arrived in Venezuela in 1917, classified more than 30,000 plants in the country and dedicated many years to studying the park's flora and fauna. This national park has the honor of having initiated the history of national parks in Venezuela. It covers an area of 107,800 hectares and is located in the northern part of Aragua State. It includes a large part of the coast of Aragua and the mountainous area of Carabobo State and is adjacent to San Esteban National Park. A curious fact about this park is that it was declared a national park in order to preserve and conserve the ecosystems, mountain landscapes, flora, fauna, hydrographic basins and historical-cultural structures in order to provide visitors with opportunities for research, recreation and tourism
