RE: Scanning - Lightpainting with a LACE BLS

Interesting concept and tool. Is this something that is available commercially, as well?

I read your post a couple of times to better comprehend what is going on. I take it the camera is in a time-lapse mode while you walk through the scene with your torch?

Best wishes for Happiness, Health, and Prosperity in 2022!

Cheers!

All the best to you too buddy. Paul makes them to order I believe. He's tagged in the post so I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you dropped him a line.

I set my camera to bulb mode as with all of my Lightpainting shots and tend to shoot at f5.6 and iso 640 to get the best results from this tool with my 1000 lumen torch on full power.

Hope this helps and if you need any further pointers or would like to get in touch with Paul then please drop me a line.

Happy New Year to you too buddy and all the best.

Happy days.

If you want more info, feel free to contact me for a chat.Hi there, just in case you're interested, I make the Backlight Scanner that @fadetoblack used in his images. The images are long exposure photographs where the shutter is often open for longer than 30 seconds. The BLS allows the creator to walk through the scene towards the camera, lighting as you go but without being seen. I have been making them to order for the last couple of years.
