Falta muy poco para terminar el año 2025, por lo que hoy decidí desde muy temprano realizar mi última limpieza profunda o limpieza primaveral, como solía decirle cuando mi hija estaba pequeña, haciéndole ver un poco más divertido para que ella se integrara a esta actividad. Recuerdo que le hacía una especie de juego formando un equipo de trabajo para organizar y limpiar la casa. Ahora mi hija ya es una adolescente de 14 años y me ayuda en estos quehaceres con mucha responsabilidad.
—¿Equipo listo para comenzar el combate? —pregunté a mi hija mientras alzaba la escoba y sonriendo para animarla a realizar la actividad, a lo que ella aceptó riéndose.
Comenzamos por distribuirnos las actividades mi hija asumió la responsabilidad de limpiar las puertas, ventanas, rejas de la casa, así como limpiar y ordenar su cuarto, mientras por mi parte asumí la responsabilidad de limpiar el polvo de las paredes, techos, adornos, estantes, muebles, limpiar y ordenar mi cuarto y el cuarto de huéspedes, entre otras.
Empecé por limpiar las telarañas y el polvo de las paredes y techo ya que en mi casa a menudo salen telarañas y siempre estoy bromeando que parece la casa de la familia Monster. Luego realicé la limpieza del multi mueble, televisor y los adornos quitándoles el polvo que se va acumulando al pasar de los días , mientras ella por su parte comenzó por limpiar y ordenar su cuarto, al terminar comenzó a limpiar las puertas, ventanas y rejas de la casa que igualmente se les acumula el polvo, por último ordenó su ropero y saco alguna ropa que ya no usa para regalar , ella me consultaba que se podía donar y que definitivamente se iba a la basura por estar en malas condiciones, siempre le he dicho si vas a donar algo que este en buenas condiciones.
La casa no hacía mucho tiempo que se pintó (pronto les contaré), por lo que fue más rápido y fácil de limpiar porque no se encontraba tan sucia.
Fue un día muy especial de una jornada larga y productiva, donde le dejaba como enseñanza a mi hija lo importante de tener un hogar limpio y ordenado, inculcarle el sentido de pertenencia, mantener las cosas limpias y en buen estado.
Mientras realizaba este trabajo con mi hija, pudimos intercambiar ideas, conocer un poco más la una sobre la otra y divertirnos con cada ocurrencia que se presentaba.
Más tarde, con la casa limpia y ordenada, nos sentamos en la sala y ella me dice: "Mamá, ¿no te parece que se siente diferente, un aire más limpio, todo diferente?" Nos quedamos observando, comenzamos una conversación donde ella empezó a hablar sobre la cultura japonesa y coreana; me quedé sorprendida sobre todo lo que ha leído e indagado sobre esa cultura.
Fue cuando me di cuenta de que esta actividad había sido un éxito no solo por el orden y la limpieza, sino porque el tiempo compartido y el vínculo y conexión de la confianza, apoyo y complicidad se fortalecía aún más.

I remember turning it into a kind of game by forming a work team to organize and clean the house. Now my daughter is a 14-year-old teenager and helps me with these chores very responsibly.
“Team ready to begin the battle?” I asked my daughter as I raised the broom and smiled to encourage her to do the activity, to which she agreed with a laugh.
We began by dividing up the tasks. My daughter took on the responsibility of cleaning the doors, windows, and railings of the house, as well as cleaning and tidying her room, while I took on the responsibility of dusting the walls, ceilings, decorations, shelves, and furniture, cleaning and tidying my room and the guest room, among other things.
I started by cleaning the cobwebs and dust from the walls and ceiling, as cobwebs often appear in my house and I always joke that it looks like the Monster family's house. Then I cleaned the TV stand, television, and decorations, removing the dust that accumulates over time, while she began by cleaning and tidying her room. When she finished, she began cleaning the doors, windows, and railings of the house, which also accumulate dust. Finally, she tidied her wardrobe and took out some clothes she no longer wears to give away. She asked me what could be donated and what should definitely be thrown away because it was in poor condition. I have always told her that if you are going to donate something, it should be in good condition.
The house had been painted not long ago (I'll tell you about that soon), so it was quicker and easier to clean because it wasn't so dirty.
It was a very special day, a long and productive day, where I taught my daughter the importance of having a clean and tidy home, instilling in her a sense of belonging, keeping things clean and in good condition.
While doing this work with my daughter, we were able to exchange ideas, get to know each other a little better, and have fun with every occurrence that came up.
Later, with the house clean and tidy, we sat down in the living room and she said to me, “Mom, don't you think it feels different, the air is cleaner, everything is different?” We sat there observing, and we started a conversation where she began to talk about Japanese and Korean culture; I was surprised by how much she had read and researched about that culture.
That's when I realized that this activity had been a success not only because of the tidiness and cleanliness, but also because the time we shared and the bond and connection of trust, support, and complicity had grown even stronger.
